I couldn’t even make it past the minute mark. Please let us know if we are missing something at the end…you know…like a big tambourine solo or something of that nature.
“he taught me how to praise his name and still play rock and roll”. that is awesome. hahahaha. were any of those guys/gals later in Five Iron Frenzy? (RIP)
My grandmother watches Gospel Music Telivision 24/7- and this is pretty risque compared to that… but I loved the whole “He’ll love me if I’m perfect/ If I ever get that way” part, along with sassy hip and head roll.
It’s sad that most churches in America aren’t this contemporary yet. The probably dragged these guys out behind the studio and shot them after the taping was done.
Oh yah, that just made me whole day!! Now I’ll be able to finish my housework with a great tune in my head. I love the diction and the guy with the orange guitar made me happy
I just got ZAPPED! That definately brightened up my day. A few favorites: the grand piano that no one played and the backup singers who do not look at all excited to have Jesus as their friend.
sweet fancy moses.
awesome. who said ska is dead??

How did you Eric Estrada to play in the band?
Wow thats intense! Not sure if people will be able to get this new style… pretty out of the box
I just had tp get picked up off the floor I was laughing so hard… Why in the world isn’t that on MTV?
zzzaaaapppppp
That guitarist is rocking it!!!
I imagine that the lead singer gets lots of practice, “turning his cheek when people laugh at him.” Wow.
It takes mad skills to sing and play bass at the same time.
Zapppp!! That guitar player was rockin the 70’s Walrus stach. Guess I know what I will be humming all day.

ZZZZZAAAAPPPPP it the 1:50 mark is worth it all
Wow! I’m speechless.
the guitar player is really jamming out, and the bass is a must have for any PRO looking to take it to the next level.
wow. that song will be in my head for no less than a week now. thanks.
good stuff
Is that hi-def?
Great melody, huh? Good thing I didn’t excitedly Twitter this to everyone without watching it first. LOL!
the electric guitar player has quite the hip thrust! and that bass player is what every bassist should aspire to.
anybody else think the bearded guy on the left looks a LOT like joel houston??
I was having Partridge Family flashbacks! (like they went to church…)
Could I get the CD? No, wait, I mean vinyl? I know my preschoolers would like it. Please, stop me, please!!!!
I like the line about Jesus being like a Mountie, “He always gets his man.”
“he is like a mountie, he always gets his man, and He’ll zap you anyway he can, Zap!”
Awesome!
Wow, well, that certainly isn’t doing Christian artists performing ska music any favors.
Witness a fine fusion of ska, polka and theological mastery.
I am a better man for this. Thank you Los.
Happy B-day.
Holy Crap! I think these guys are still playing out here in Branson, Missouri! Long live Rock and Roll!
“Jesus is like a mountie?” Come on? Are you serious!?!?
I don’t think Jesus loved him while writing this silly song!
Is this the Christian version of Rick-rolling??
Cut me some slack, I’m semi-new to the club.
peace|dewde
“jesus came and found me and touched me down inside”???
you can tell they were writing in a pre-scandalous era!
wow!
That just kills.
I’m speechless.
Is that really “Rock and Roll”?
Nice! Jesus is my friend!
My grandmother watches Gospel Music Telivision 24/7- and this is pretty risque compared to that… but I loved the whole “He’ll love me if I’m perfect/ If I ever get that way” part, along with sassy hip and head roll.
what do you think they’ll be saying about us in another 30 years?
that might be scarier than this video.
It’s sad that most churches in America aren’t this contemporary yet. The probably dragged these guys out behind the studio and shot them after the taping was done.
“he taught me how to praise my God and still play rock and roll”…no he didn’t…don’t blame that on God.
this really happened people. man, depressing.
DUDE! you suck … now I have that crappy song in my head!
Who says that the devil has all the good music?
My two year old just said, “the wiggles, the wiggles!”
Sorry I missed out on BMP, I’ll make sure I’m there next time……
zap
the host of the show sums it up nicely – “terrific!” “beautiful.. beautiful..”
Uhh. Wish, I was there????

I can second the comment above: Come to Branson, Missouri these people have a SHOW! And you family can stay with my husband and I too!
Sarah
if this were a dream, it would be called a nightmare

Sarah
It’s your birthday, and you’ve given me two presents now. I feel a little guilty here.
Happy birthday!
Zap!
Please tell me that they are at BC this Saturday!!
Sorry that should have read “Sunday”
Long week
We’ve been rickrolled!!!!!
Or would that be Jesusrolled???
Good one. I’m still laughing!!!
Really?? Where do you find stuff like this? Lol that was pretty funny though I guess Christian music really has come a long way!
I don’t know what is worse. That this is why people think Christians are lame or that these poor folks think that they are “cutting” edge!!
los, your on drums aren’t you!
Whoa, I was expecting to see Chrystina. The keyboard player really has those chords down!
Oh my stinkin’ word! Eeeeeeks!
There simply are no words….
Ok…I can’t stop laughing at this. I think I might have to trade my Fender bass in and rock one of those!
i was so amused watching that song thinking…wow this is a hilarious parody…but then when the guy thanked him i wasnt so sure anymore…
I love it… he will Zap you… ZAPPPP!!!
Anyone else think this guy looks like Scott Baio from Charles in Charge??? Maybe it’s just the preview screenshot.
Oh and ZAPPPP!!!!
No wonder you left Sandals. How can we get these guys?
Oh this brightened my morning I had to post it on my blog too
http://www.lizas-eyeview.com/2008/09/jesus-is-friend-of-mine.html
How did you know that song was on our set list for this Sunday?
Ahhhh!!!!
Now that song is stuck in my head.
But I needed something funny like that.
Thanks Carlos.
7:45 AM Maui Time – video has problem loading both in your post and mine
“He is like a mountie; he always gets his man”? What the ?!?
“ZAP!”
just bought it on iTunes.
I just got ZAPPED! That definately brightened up my day. A few favorites: the grand piano that no one played and the backup singers who do not look at all excited to have Jesus as their friend.
I think I found something sadder.
