  13. Mark Chapman 10 September 2008 at 2:15 pm #

Someone actually thought that was good idea.I would love to hear the brainstorming session that brought this performance to life.
I don’t think the guy behind the truth keyboard is even playing it.

  14. Tim 10 September 2008 at 2:16 pm #

  23. Amy I 10 September 2008 at 4:28 pm #

I really did enjoy that one and especially the little like break dance the guy does in the middle of it that’s pretty funny.

  24. Rachel 10 September 2008 at 4:59 pm #

    America’s got talent!

ha ha Yes, it’s cheesy. But I have to give it to them on the choreography. I wonder if that guy’s single…

  37. Chris J 10 September 2008 at 7:22 pm #

I’m pretty sure that applause track was about as real as the foliage onstage… watch out Pussycat dolls…cause “Present Truth” is too legit to quit! lol at this

  38. janowen 10 September 2008 at 8:18 pm #

Hey, in case anyone wanted to know this was supposedly recorded in 2007 – I would have guessed 1987. Also this group is not – according to Wikipedia – a Christian group. The Way International does not believe Jesus is God…..

Sooooooo, at least it’s not bad Christian music. Whatever it is, it’s not that.

    Whew, I’m relieved!

I sent it out to my praise team as a “special for Oct.”…..no one wants to audition for the guys part! haha

  39. Jad 10 September 2008 at 8:25 pm #

Dude…I’m crying right now. No kidding.

    Until :40…utter shock.

    Until 1:57…a little anger.

At 1:57 when the dude busted the redonkulous moonwalk…hysterical laughter to the point of tears.

    I want more.

  40. Albee 10 September 2008 at 9:07 pm #

There was a combined 200 years of musical experience backing that trio up. Those are some chops you don’t mess with…

  41. Jason C 10 September 2008 at 9:58 pm #

    There… are… no… words…

  42. Toby @ WTLF 10 September 2008 at 10:26 pm #

As I think back on the non-Christian part of my life, I wonder….Where was the Christian movement when I was a kid? Why weren’t the youth of America motivated to follow Christ? Thanks for answering my questions Los! :-)

  43. JSR 10 September 2008 at 11:41 pm #

Sweet baby jesus. I think I just peed a little bit. That is just awesome.

  44. zach harrod 10 September 2008 at 11:56 pm #

Seriously what goes through the minds of people!?!?! This is horrible….

  45. Andrew T. 11 September 2008 at 2:50 am #

disappointed guy pulled up short of the robot. That is the only thing I see missing.

  46. Steve 11 September 2008 at 3:55 am #

I at least give them credit for being tight on their moves. Did I actually say that?

  47. Dave © 11 September 2008 at 4:23 am #

As we generally agreed yesterday (see post “Convenient ‘Truths’”), the important thing is that Christ is preached.

I almost wish there was a Bible verse that said, “Thou shalt not singeth and danceth poorly.” At least that way we could argue about it.

  48. Marcelo 11 September 2008 at 4:38 am #

Thanks, Los! So refreshing! Is it what’s going down at Andrew’s upstairs tonight? Anyway, my favorite… the moonwalk followed by the little samba steps.

P.S.: Is this a family band? I am pretty sure it is… Daddy on drums, mom and children on mics, mom’s cousins on keys.

  49. Morgan 11 September 2008 at 4:46 am #

holy crap. I’m literally sitting in front of my computer with my mouth open in shock.

  50. Jesse H. 11 September 2008 at 4:51 am #

No wonder nobody wants to come to church

  51. Jeremy 11 September 2008 at 5:16 am #

What the…? What search terms are you using to find these videos? Maybe I don’t want to know…

  52. Michael Harrison 11 September 2008 at 5:27 am #

Is that the worship team from Buckhead Church practicing for this week? WOW. It is gonna be a different and special kinda week, Los. Enjoy and thanks for sharing. Your pastor said something about docking your pay check for this one (say that on twitter). Hope you and the fam don’t starve this week. HA HA

  53. Toby 11 September 2008 at 5:29 am #

Wow! That’s crazy! I don’t even know what to say. Loswhit, you have so much to learn, obviously… ;-)

i have been laughing for a half hour now and i can’t stop. is this the new look of what the church is doing?teehee. is this what happens when you have a renewed mind?

had i been there i’m pretty sure i would have been escorted out of the audience for laughing too hard.

  57. Abs 11 September 2008 at 6:07 am #

that’s just like road kill – disgusting and yet you can’t keep from looking….

  58. michael 11 September 2008 at 6:48 am #

How do you discover this stuff???

  59. Jonnelle 11 September 2008 at 6:49 am #

Someone else sent it to me. They knew I would get a huge kick out of it due to my endless fascination and urge to ridicule lame Christian attempts to be hip.

But since God is working on that haughtier-than-thou spirit in me, the only thing I could muster up that was nice was:

It’s obvious they worked hard… practiced. They were synchronized well.

Because boy oh boy… I would love to let the snark rip.

(note: this is something God’s been dealing with me personally.. not a comment on the rest of this thread because… that video is all about the crickets.)

  60. Jen 11 September 2008 at 7:00 am #

who is their coreographer??? i’m thinking its the guy in the middle…

  61. Devon 11 September 2008 at 7:20 am #

  63. Stevo28andGrowing 11 September 2008 at 7:47 am #

what you don’t see is the 5,000 screaming fans all wearing the concert t-shirt and holding glo sticks.

this was amazing. especially the spin move in the second minute. God only knows how much I pray every night for those skillz!

  64. Marcelo 11 September 2008 at 7:51 am #

The tags on this video @ youtube: dancing, sad, bizarre, funny, awkward, Jesus, mind, key, renewed.

  65. Loran 11 September 2008 at 7:59 am #

    Carlos
Love what you’ve done with the Buckhead stage. Is this the new BMP you were talking about? Dude…it’s so rad!!

    [crickets]

  66. Reid Greven 11 September 2008 at 8:28 am #

I am so disturbed right now.

The sheer fact that these guys beat me to the punch…

I mean, haven’t I said all along that I wanted to form a matching suit-wearing quasi-techno band with my mom, dad, Aunt Gertie and Uncle JJ in order to show off my killer liturgical crunk dancing?

  67. Craig 11 September 2008 at 8:57 am #

    Copyright 2007… seriously?!?! As I’m watching I had 2 thoughts…
    1) 1983
    2) Thought bubble over male vocal’s head…”Four years and $80,000 at the Conservatory of Music for this??”

  68. Spence Smith 11 September 2008 at 8:58 am #

Wow los…i love the direction you are taking north point buckhead…i love andy stanley’s new look!!!!

    Noooooooooooooooooooooo!

  73. bobby 11 September 2008 at 1:42 pm #

Ya know, the great dance break kinda reminds me of John Travolta trying to dance like Michael Jackson. Just a thought.

  74. Dana 11 September 2008 at 2:51 pm #

Speechless. This doesn’t happen a lot.

  75. kim 11 September 2008 at 7:38 pm #

somehow it took 4 Michael Jackson videos to cleanse my visual/auditory palate after seeing this. And I didn’t even know that was possible.

  76. Thom 11 September 2008 at 11:53 pm #

2 Corinthians 5:13 “If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God…” (NIV)
WOO-HOOO!! GO TEAM! I LOVE BEING A CHRISTIAN!!!!

  77. S. Pihlaja 12 September 2008 at 3:58 am #

    Those women are hot.

  78. EricD 12 September 2008 at 6:14 am #

I think most of you are being to hard on these folks. The only reason that some of our churches today are even near the cutting edge is because at some point someone tried something different. Shame on you hypocrites.

  79. Shayne 12 September 2008 at 6:18 am #

Oh no he didn’t…wait…yup…he did. *sigh*

  80. Tstaires 12 September 2008 at 7:06 am #

How can I book these guys? Their moves are FRESH.

  81. Shaun King 12 September 2008 at 9:14 am #

I am actually impressed by this performance…kind of like I am when a bird talks or a monkey pushes buttons on command.

  82. Tatman 12 September 2008 at 9:21 am #

Now I know what happened to James Brown’s soul.

  83. Ashley 12 September 2008 at 9:52 am #

Was that a synthesizer he was playing?!!? I think I had one in the 80’s…

  84. logicomega 12 September 2008 at 1:52 pm #

That was a little painful. Well I guess they are doing it for God so I can’t be too judgmental. Is this an older Video from the 80’s? I’m just trying to understand……It’s entertaining in a way, kinda like watching a kung-fu movie, not meant to be serious. God bless …forgive my 1st thoughts/impressions.

  85. Jim 12 September 2008 at 11:04 pm #

    hotness…
i yelled for my wife to come watch, she said “never show me that again”.
    hehe

  86. amy 13 September 2008 at 8:49 am #

The sad part… they dance better than me.

  87. Ben Ortlip 13 September 2008 at 4:07 pm #

    Napoleon Dynamite goes to church.

Do they have a tetherball league for sports outreach ministry?

I voted for Pedro. After that performance, I’ll vote for Present, Truth, Jesus…. whatever they’re selling!!

  88. Los 13 September 2008 at 6:23 pm #

    Hey Cool for Jesus.
Why don’t you crawl out of your moms basement and display your real self not the anonymous lameness that you are. That all your typing can be seen.

  89. evan courtney 13 September 2008 at 8:17 pm #

  94. amykay 15 September 2008 at 11:45 am #

    um.

do you think you can throw up in heaven? because if so i’m pretty sure Jesus just did. and even if you can’t… i’m still pretty sure Jesus just did.

    wow.

  95. Gretchen 15 September 2008 at 2:11 pm #

    I can not stop watching.

  96. Evan Courtney 17 September 2008 at 2:10 pm #

The Way International took this off of YouTube for Copyright.
    lol.
    nice.

  97. Tre Haskings 22 September 2008 at 9:14 am #

actually, from a dancer’s perspective, they are really on time and together which is really difficult to do. Other than that it’s really dorky.

  98. Brad 29 September 2008 at 3:19 pm #

You can see the video here now. I believe it is the whole video. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4972519016655113360&hl=en
