My Twitter Marathon

Posted on 11. Oct, 2008 by loswhit in Uncategorized

Long Beach Marathon.

Truth be told.
I have serious doubts to my body’s ability to do this.
I stopped training 6 weeks ago.
But you will know…
Because although I said I would not…
I found a great way to “carry my Twitter” during my run.

So for those not on twitter yet or have stopped following me because I twitter 2314 times a day…
Follow me tomorrow.
www.twitter.com/loswhit
It will be an epic success or failure.
Either way…
You’ll be entertainied.
Here is a map for your twitter updates and where I will be.
Picture 3

So there you have it.
As far as I can tell, no one has ever twittered their marathon before.
I’m going to try.
I’m thinking it will at least get me one extra mile before I wilt into a pile of hormonal mess.

Twitterthon,
Los

Good luck this morning, brother. Just remember, slow and steady finishes the race. No matter how good you feel in the first 10 miles, run slower than you think you should. You’ll need that energy when you get to the 20-mile mark. You can do it!

Oh yeah…When you get home, rent and watch “Run, Fatboy, Run.”

    Los,
I clicked over to the marathon website and choose one of the photos there as my desktop background so I would remember to pray for you and Heather all morning and afternoon. God speed – literally : )

You are one multi-talented dude. Running a marathon AND twittering? I am impressed.

Sending prayers for rest and a masseuse to magically appear in your house tonight. : )

That is just so exciting! I want to do it! Hey, I have the best idea. You and Heather should try out for Amazing Race. No, seriously. I bet you would totally get picked if you tried out!

Congratulations!!! I think it’s really cool that you guys did they entire thing together, btdub. Hope you recover the ability to walk on your own again soon :)

That’s really cool that you guys ran hand in hand. I was going to run the Chicago marathon on Sunday, but “postponed” my marathon debut until the spring.

Way to stick with it! You’ve inspired me to follow through!
