Unless they read this blog and realize I can’t speak in a coherent manner.

producing, leading volunteers for tech, video, audio, unstacking a gazillion chairs, fixing sets, caressing Macs, changing diapers, fixing hair, and…well, you never really know
it’s awesome.
i love it!
Sunday AM: Typically setup ProPresenter & Keynote of sermon notes for the volunteer team… VJ once a month
This quarter I’m leading a Starting Point class during our 3rd service, which has been amazing.
Sunday PM: I preach at our evening service
My wife is out of town this weekend, so I’m getting our 3 year old and 4 month old to church on time…… Amber has the harder job:)
I run the kids ministry, and occasionally do the announcements, the tithe, or preach a few times a year. How come Andy never lets you get the mic, Los?
I run the student ministry. So, that means I teach sunday school, and occasionally preach. Not as much as I’d like. But the big nights for me are thursday’s and sunday’s. That is when I teach, lead, produce, wrestle, dodge balls, get hurt, and counsel. That is when I’m on my game.
I get my kids ready for church. Not going today though. One is sick. Have a great Sunday everyone!
Helping the Nursery volunteers that week–setting up, tearing down, or volunteering if it’s my week. Then filling in wherever needed
i am a lead worshipper for the warehouse (2nd and 3rd graders) at bbcc. tough crowd this year…have this sunday and next off, and am hoping that the lack of responsiveness in the group is not because of me.
Today: Baptize, Teach Small Group.
Nice reference to Mr. Stewart.
my Saturday nights are security, my 3 Sunday morning services are security. love it. very interesting.
Same thing I do every week… FOH audio & producing..
Oversee all volunteers in services, run rehearsal and soundcheck for musicians and singers, lead worship, oversee all audio, video and graphic arts. Fix computers, play in band, run FOH for African service. Break up fights (don’t ask, it wasn’t much fun)
Pretty busy really.
Trying to get Los on the phone and not have to Twitter him! Other than that…Sunday is a chill day because we go to church on Sat. night.
Getting kids ready.
I have to be honest, my first thought was “that is an awesome jacket.”
Buckhead bringing the style.
I’m a student pastor….so everything that is involved with leading students to a relationship with Christ. As well as keeping up with the vans……that got dropped on me this week and I’M PUMPED…ugh
I’m with sm.r…Nice jacket!!
All I have to do on a Sunday morning is get myself and 2 children fed, dressed, and out the door to church on time. I am consistently late for this. I it were my job, I’d have been fired for too many tardies.
Now my husband, he is in charge of set design, lighting, sound, video for 2 campuses.
Before my husband’s stay in the hospital, I was the one of five worship leaders at my church. I’m also the overseer of our powerpoint team. Recently they started training me for the position of Worship Team Leader.

Wow. Lots of awesome ppl here. I volunteer for security a couple times a month. The rest of the day, nothing.
sleep in
eat breakfast at about 11am
watch football
mess around, freelance, write some blogs
take a shower
go to 5pm service
eat dinner
watch desperate housewives
work out while watching brothers and sisters
watch the weather for the week
and go to bed.
it is exhausting.
i kinda wish i did work sundays, but i am one of those rare Monday-Friday church staffers.
8:30 AM – Set up equipment/lesson prep for Kid’s Church
9:00 AM – Teach Kid’s Church
10:00 AM-Teach Sunday School with my wife
11:00 AM-Teach Kid’s Church (AGAIN!)
12:15 PM- Be Social, Lock Up Church
12:45 PM- Lunch with Parent/Parents-in-law (Yay free food!)
Production this week, leading next week, playing in the band the next week.
i oversee the resource center and cafe volunteers and operations.
i create the run sheets so worship team, sound, lights and production are all on the same page.
i also head up the band part of the worship team and help lead worship.
Wake up at 5:45 to experience solitude, quiet time, me time. Get kids ready for church so wife has morning off and a chance to sleep in if she is not volunteering. Lead a small group of 5th graders (usually learn more than I teach) then attend 11 am service and afterwards in fall, rush home to make final tweaks to my fantasy football lineup and get ready for a family day
Every 3rd Sunday I help people find a place to park at BC, other Sundays I just help my wife get the boys ready for church.
Usually I TD for the live video director- sometimes I direct part of service, but I haven’t had enough training to direct a full service yet.
Today we switched it up a little and I’m running CG (ProPresenter is AWESOME, btw).
Also on Sundays I fix any CG misspellings or mistakes that I didn’t catch when I put together the presentation during the week :]
Preaching!
Directing tech team & production volunteers for 4 weekend services @ Seacoast Church
media setup
teach high school sunday school
lead jr high high school service that night
Today I watched attended an online church service with Central Christian Church in Las Vegas at http://www.centralonlinecampus.com. It was really great.
I am the Production/Setup Director. Which entails offering jobs for people to do to setup for service. Also, I run the sound and screen presentation for the service, besides one week a month I get to just enjoy the service after setup. Then as soon as service is done, I again offer jobs and help instruct the teardown process.
I’m sure you understand this process Los. It’s the process of a church plant.
yes
A.M.:coffee for team, tea for pastor, drive to second campus with graphics dvd, roadie, run MS for praise band rehearsal, rundown with tech gnomes, more coffee, more tea, (the following is based on who is not there) sound, produce, stage manager, roadie,
P.M. re-set stage for recovery service, tech rundown, sound
if need be: back-up bass player, back-up rhythm guitarist,
more coffee, more tea.
ah, being the worship minister’s kid.
Setup, Teardown, lights, sound, audio visual, lyrics, play guitar, look,
People know me!
Setup, Teardown, lights, sound, audio visual, lyrics, play guitar, look,
People know me! as the volunteer
1 of 3 things… either Producer, Video Director, or like this morning run the Congo Jr. and make the lights dance
I direct Kidstuf and run propresenter for the worship service.
Producer is my normal Sunday role. Sometimes I mix FOH and produce but that is pretty nuts. Glad I have great people around me for sure. I suspect most Sundays if I got hit by a bus the volunteers would just go right on and no one would notice.
No cameras for me for a while. I’m facilitating a Starting Point group for the next few weeks
include, not limited to, and in no particular order or day:
lead worship
participate in worship band (guitar, bass)
speak/preach
set up celebration elements (creative piece)
announcements
Communion
Sometimes moonwalk
Definitely drink coffee
connect with others
and certainly not least, worship God

I love what I do on Sunday mornings and it is an honor to give my time to my community.
Backstage manager in the Warehouse, Alpharetta campus.
Getting anywhere from 1-6 kids ready and then off to pick up another 25+ kids to take to church – then if it’s my weekend – getting the food that was prepared to eat by 40+ people into the van and then into the church and warmed up and ready for right after church is over.
Sunday mornings are rough…

facilitating christian education (glorified name for sunday school) with 25-30 awesome teenagers. smiling at all the old folk who know who i am because im new on staff yet i have no idea who they are. mingling with parents & trying to make a connection with them at least one time out of the week.
I get to run our coffee shop at church. I love it and can’t wait to go each week!
I’m there by 8:25. Worship practice (was gonna run sound today but worship leader pulled rank). Intercessory prayer team, then sunday school, then drum for service. Usually get out around 1:30ish. Some mornings I cover infants in sunday school for a friend so she doesn’t get burnt out.
I arrive at church around 8:30AM.
I make the coffee.
I set out the donuts.
I turn the furnace on (in the winter) or A/C on (in the summer).
I work on my PPT for my message.
I print/fold bulletin.
I go over worship set with Praise Team leader.
10:00AM – Service starts… I sing with Praise Team.
I then preach the message… and conduct most everything else in the service.
Lead Worship a few Sundays a month.
Fill in as mediocre Bass player on off Sundays.
Teach High School Sunday School
Coordinate Young Adults Ministry (Remedy)
last week i sang in choir, this week i was on ProPresenter, and next week i will be on bg vox. i’ve been at the church so much these days, people have asked if i am employed there. is that good thing?
haemin… my old church, the pastors used to joke that the one room was really my apartment. Sad!
Now, I don’t do so much… and I’m much more fulfilled… go figure! LOL
I used to (with a great team) unpack tech trailer, complete set-up of sound and video stuff (did not have lights back then) oversee technical (not musical) aspects of worship practice produce run-through, stress, some shouting
then have relative stress free service whispering in sound tech’s ear
Now I JUST run the student ministry and preach occasionally, and I feel a startingPoint group coming on
(I love leading startingPoint)
I pick up donuts, unlock all the doors, turn on the lights – heat/air, spend time in prayer, preach two services, then lead a small group on Sunday evening.
5:30-6: Dunkin Donuts run for the worship team
6-7: input sermon notes/scriptures into pro presenter
7-7:30: match lighting cues to pro presenter loops and vids
7:30-8: sound check
8-8:30: production run through
8:30-9: get prayed up for 1st service
9:15-10:15 lead worship service 1
chill
11-12: lead worship service 2
12-2: tear down
portable churches are rad!

carlos–thanks for all the great work.
love the kordell reference–you are the new slash.
not sure many people got it, but i am from the burgh.
here we go steelers
About twice a month I get to use the hand-held camera and be roaming camera operator on stage during worship set. I only get to do it twice a month because they make me share
.
My favorite part is the video review. We go back during the first service sermon time and play back what we shot during the first worship set. It helps me see what I did right and will repeat and what I won’t be doing again.
I think I have the coolest position on the production team!
produce two weekends per month: once in the main room and once in our video venue
Sunday mornings include set up, (some) production and leading worship. But soon will also have a lot to do with organizing children’s ministry & youth ministry programs. It’s a small church, so roles are condensed.
audio technician, light programming, video editor, worship band leader, worship leader, videotaping guy, hand shaker, fill-in preacher, people pleaser…
We are in the same boat as Josiah. Port-a-churches ROCK!!
