Your Church Size
I’m wondering… because I tend to do that.
Not that this question has any implication as to worth, because it completely and absolutely does not…
What is the size of your church?
I’m guessing we have an average church size of 120 on here. That’s just my guess.
At least thats the size of our regular Ragamuffin Revival Prayer Meetings.
How many booties are living next to you during your week doing life together as a church?
Los

2500 adults (an many kiddies) on 3 campuses
2600 total on one campus
40 – and no I didn’t forget a zero; )
1300 total
somewhere just shy of 2k…is a guess but should be close
1000 but leaving to pastor church plant of 45 in Dallas.
30, including kids.
But we are yet to officially “launch” weekly services. Ah church planting.
2200
400
185 in two services. Yep the room is that small.
we call this the “chenis”
how big is your chenis (church penis)
it happens at every conference and luncheon- the chenis competition.
90 is average. 120 @ Easter. 65 over summer.
20,000 + and, no, that’s not a typo
Saddleback Church
We just left our Church to help out with a plant. old church about 2000, new church about 75-100 its only 7 weeks old…
~400
3 campuses combined — we have about 5100
We sit right about at 100 each week… we’d have closer to 200 if everybody showed up all at once
Started reading you in a church of 2700 (was there 7 years watched it go from 80 to 2700). Now attend for the past year a church of 85.
225 if we count the band twice…
2400
2 – my wife and I…the kids show up every once in awhile. On those days, 4.
1500 total, spread over four services on the weekend.
65 people make up the church… 40 average attendance.
Leaving my church in IL ): of 100 for a Youth Ministry job at a church in AZ (: of 3000
4-5 K total in i believe 8 services across two campuses…the village church…
10,000+ … NewSpring’r… opening 3rd campus this wk. end!!! pray for us!
For English services 24,000 combined, one church in two locations at Singapore. Praying for 30,000 members and a stadium!
About 150 – in an English village. Lively though!
300
800 in three services…meeting in a movie theater.
7000 in two services. No matter how many you have, there are always opportunities to reach people for Christ!
300 or so…one of 2 English speaking churches in Germany (other than those on base)
8,000-ish. Give or take.
We started the church in July.
Currently we are being called about 45 people’s home church.
God is continuing to teach us and show us His direction for our church.
Our first outreach, to let the community know that we’re there, was a couple weekends ago.
God has affirmed that this journey for Dialogue Church will be a long one.
I’m excited.

450 in two services
We run 600 on the average in 2 AM services.
40. bible-study-run-amuck-i-guess-we’re-a-church-sort-of-thing.
josh lane’s church has services at 2 AM! and i thought we were nuts!
ok . . . i know that’s NOT what he meant!
that’s when bars quit serving alcohol – maybe that’s a good time for church! maybe that’s why they have 600 show up!
I would say 150-200 between two experiences at the Lifechurch.tv/Phoenix campus. I wouldn’t even try and guess how many it would be if all 12 campuses were to be combined, and that isn’t even considering our Internet campus.
We have around 100
… and the word chenis is HILARIOUS!
This is a lot of huge churches getting role called. I have to be honest and say it’s still hard for me to understand a mega church. Is it really possible to have an authentic church community/family with a stadium of 30,000 or even 3-4K? I’ve never been a part of a large church so I really don’t know. We’re around the corner for Los’ Buckhead Church and running about 250 in two services.
8000 across three campuses
Attend in Auburn Alabama, about 1,500 ppl
Members at Prestonwood in Plano, Texas 30,000 (although it is probably larger by now)
You can count the smaller one if you like
I think we’re at about 70 people right now. We haven’t actually had our public launch yet–that’s this Sunday!!
~30
Group I’ve grown up in and been with my whole life. Size has varied in that time from three people meeting under a lamp post on the street in the rain to around 120. Splits. People come and people go. Still trying to obey God in it all
100 on sundays…25 on Wednesdays
4600 over three services
1500 in three services.
Between the two services around 5,000 per week…give or take.
i have about 100-150 at the moment, for youth it would be more like 30 to 40… but im actually not much apart of it anymore, more on my own being the church ive been wanting instead of trying to make the building work for the needs of everyone…
1200
about 170.
We have around 8,000 on a weekend over two campuses.
600 on Sundays including kids and students
Around 1000-1200, over three Sunday morning services, 8:30, 9:45 and 11. Did I mention it’s a town of about 11,000? I think that’s crazy.
We have 90, which in New England almost qualifies us for Mega Church status.
250-300. Las Vegas is hard.
900 in one service
4,000
~85
300-350 peeps
850.
1400 in 4 weekend services.
650
250
Our average on a weekend is about 13,000, spread out over 5 services, three campuses, and an online campus. (online campus is the bomb!!)
Central Christian in Henderson, NV.
1800+ including adults & kids. Can’t wait to reach more for the sake of eternity.
I think a few weeks ago we topped 8,100 between the 3 campuses cedarcreek.tv
It’s a HUGE God thing!
1100
About 2-3k
900-1000.
250-300 here.
220 booties give or take.
350 or somewhere around there. We were pushing at 400 a few months back, but we’ve been tapering off for some reason.
300 give or take.
500 on sundays including children and students
1100
the church i just came from…6,000
the church im currently serving in…1600
our average weekend attendance is a little over 3,000
2900 each week on two campuses
I’d say about 200, not including kids in SS classes.
In a town of 2500, we average about 590 and growing, we are getting ready to go multi-site and it is a pretty exciting time at RiverTown Community Church. Rivertown.cc (New website is in the works)
Average 1,229 this year.
We just moved to this city and joined a church…but I believe it’s somewhere around 1500 on 3 campuses.
Biggest church I’ve ever been a part of…it takes some getting used to..
2000 to 2500 per some internet research. I don’t know the “official” number
About 100, give or take. Mostly take, lately.
1100. But we are still outnumbered by the cows in our small community.
130 or so
2500 over three campuses
23,00 overall. a little over 2 thousand at my campus.
We’re at about 7500. Holiday weekends are around 10,000.
The “chenis” comment killed me! Awesome!
200 ish.
700-ish.
@ryan g: that is wrong on infinite levels.
300 average
500-700 I think
Not exactly sure. How big is our church?
We run 2,500 per weekend
5500 and 5 gathering times on Sundays
Church size? It depends whether or not you ask the pastor that question. If he says 1,200, they probably run about 275.
We have 5,000 on any given Sunday (1,300).
Still waiting for the marathon blog. Running my first in 3 weeks.
250. Pretty average for us. Praying for days when we see 300 consistently. Soon I pray.
120, you were right on!
12,000
700
13,000-15,000 it’s difficult to keep an accurate count when you get that big.
@ryan g: You are my new hero.
700, with 3 services
approx 2000 adults
we have 3 morning services & i’d guess a couple hundred at least at each service – Oasis Worship is the most wonderful church eva eva eva (& eva eva)
http://www.oasisworship.com
2,200 on one campus.
260.
add 10 for those in our room that think we’re buckhead church.
I’m part of this church that’s about 2 billion people strong, has several thousand campuses all over the world, and has several services throughout the day to meet all of your time-zone related needs.
Kind of crazy when you think of it like that. Crazy to see the number of people represented here on this blog even.
My church has about 200 peeps at it, meeting in a theatre.
1800 adults, 600 kids.
Between 10,000 and 11,000 on a normal Sunday. If everybody showed up at one time we’d see a lot more. Every week we grow by about 100-150. Pray for us. We’re trying to keep up with everybody.
But praise God for getting people in church so they can hear from Him. The more the better.
4 campuses, 2 more to come in the next year, 12 services
23,000 average (spread out on 13 campuses), about 1500 on the campus I attend
http://www.lifechurch.tv
Ryan G wins. By far.
I should retitle the post…
How big is your Chenis?
750-ish.
Avg 220 in two AM services – we are a church plant and about 20 month new!
Chenis?! LOL
About 40- church hasn’t ‘launched’ to weekly services yet.
For now it’s just me and my husband attending Lifechurch via the Internet Campus and whoever God puts in our living room or online. More intimate that way.
1,000 with 2 services. Getting ready to launch a 3rd in December.
About 500. And I will NEVER go back to churches bigger than that.
We’ve got about 650 in regular attendance.
Boulevard Christian Church.
Muskogee, OK.
I’m definitely the only person that blogs from that church.
2,500 or 3,000? I think.
2000 with 2 campuses
oh ya, I never answered the question… my chenis is a 2,500
what are we at, like 8,000 now? i feel like thats the new number now. i dont know.
30-35– Restarting an old church, birthing a new one
15,000.
Ugh. I can’t believe I love this church. But I do. I can’t believe God wants me here. But I am.
15-20k depending on whether the Cowboys are on or not.
we’re somewhere between 250 and 6.5 billion, it varies from week to week (and whether we count heads or hairs)…
Numbers ain’t crap unless you are raising disciples.
I am not too crazy about the topics of sermons series for the last year but I have faith that my pastor will get back to expository, exegesis teaching of books of the Bible.
But, that is just the “champagne wishes and caviar dreams” of this one follower.
250, but we just had a healthy ‘church-split’ planting a church in one of our neighboring cities. In this church plant like 200 of our members ‘moved’.
30,000 + on 5 campuses
300 total, in two identical services…
150-200 depending on the day – our children’s and youth ministries are expanding rapidly.
donavonhill…i said “in 2 AM services” not “in a 2 AM service”. however, now you’ve got me pondering the whole idea of having a 2 AM service.
About 14,000
hmmm I’m too lazy to see if my pastor already responded, but I think we have about 2,000. I could be way off though. lol
~65
3,000 adults on one campus.
About 2500.
2,500 all one campus
14,000
12,000 Eagle Brook Church
12,000 Eagle Brook Church

Growing sorry all
1500 – 2000 (3 Sunday Services)
First Christian Church – Canton Ohio
About 350 and 250 of Those are between the ages of 16 and 30
200ish Adults. Plus a bunch of children. We’re growing critical mass through reproduction. Ha ha. Kidding, kidding. But we have a gazillion kids under 4. Seriously.
LOL @ Darrin’s comment
I thought only my pastor did that.
We are about 400-450.
About 200-250
Around 1200 – 2 services, 1 campus.
120ish
As usual, I’m late to the game. I’ve been on a blogging hiatus for awhile, both reading and writing.
The local church we attend has about 6,000 attendees across 5 weekend services. But that is only one part of our church. The other, and I think just as important, part also happens each weekend but includes just 8 of us, 4 couples.
We worship and learn during the church “service”. We worship and grow through our chuch small group.
250
1200 or so a Sunday
850 or so, matters when the ushers count, first ten minutes seems like there are 150 and then it’s full by offering- anyone else have this issue with people showing up late? That’s my next blog post by the way
Christ Fellowship in Palm Beach Gardens: 13 – 16,000.
Don’t you love the variety? I’m tempted to say it…no, I won’t.
There’s a church for everyone!
22,000+ on 13 Campuses
2,400+ on the Tulsa Campus last weekend
LifeChurch.tv
Oh, I added up all the entries up till this post (that took awhile!)
What struck me was that all the people that left comments represent 486,930 attenders in local churches across the globe! That’s amazing Carlos! I love how there are so many people represented here!
The other thing that struck me was how many people don’t see a number as an individual with a life, that NEEDS Jesus. Numbers directly represent people. There’s a whole book in the Old Testament that emphasizes the importance of counting people! We know how many people got saved when Peter preached….that’s not shallow..that’s giving a testimony of what GOD has done!
Climbing down from soap box now.
I think our church is up to 1000 regular attendance now. I’m not high up in ministry — just a volunteer — but I am friendly with the higher ups. I’m pretty sure we’re growing by leaps and bounds.
LOL on the “chenis” post after this one. You are so fun!!
about 3,000 at the main campus…I don’t know about the other 2…
around 375
I’ll take a SWAG at ours… I heard there were 3200 people doing our 60-60 experiment, which represented 70% of our attendance, which puts us around 4500 adults in 5 services on 2 campuses — Gateway Church, Austin, Texas.
I’ve been there since it was ~35 people (just celebrated our 10 year anniversary). It’s weird to go from literally knowing everyone at your church to not even knowing the entire staff. Amazing to see what God has done, the stories He has told in people’s lives, over the last ten years, though. I’m looking forward to the next ten!
300-350 (I think) in 2 services.
180
avg. 70
50 on an average Sunday.
550
about 300-400 depends on the LA forecast. if it’s nice and sunny about 300 coz the other 100 people go to the beach!
10,000 to 12,000(6 services at 3 different campuses) NEWSPRING BABY!!!!! PASTOR P ROCKS!
600 total on one campus
600 total on one campus with 3 services
