Tomorrow will certainly be an interesting and long awaited day for many, so we’re going to keep praying throughout the night and into the day tomorrow. God bless you all!!!

  65. Annalise 3 November 2008 at 8:59 pm #

This was really, really cool…it’s the first time I’ve been with a group of people who weren’t arguing about politics but were instead praying about politics- and even better, praying for the side they’re NOT on. I’m only fifteen so I can’t vote yet, and it gets really discouraging to see people SO divided about this. But tonight proved that people are able to put aside their differing opinions when necessary. Thanks for doing this… it was really awesome.

  66. Tim Tibbles 3 November 2008 at 9:01 pm #

THANK YOU LOS! I think it is safe to say you and I are on opposite sides of the 2008 election. However one of the things I have always admired about you is your ability to bring people together. This idea was a great example of that. Thank you for pointing us as Christians toward the one who is ultimately in control of the future of our country. You are a great example for all of us. Even if you did vote for the wrong guy. :) Thanks Carlos!

  67. Steph 3 November 2008 at 9:08 pm #

Praise Jesus for the unity that was seen tonight! It’s amazing how easy it is to bring Him glory, we just need to lay aside our differences and EXALT His name!

    Thanks for putting this together.

Tomorrow (err… this morning) I will be doing non-partisan work at the polls from 6:15 am until EVERY LAST vote is counted (projection: midnight or later). To all those reading this, please pray that I can BE Jesus to every single person who enters, and that His love will radiate through me!

Again, thanks Los! Tonight was awesome, and I am confident that by putting the message of the cross FIRST we kicked satan’s butt! :)

  68. Duncan Phyfe 3 November 2008 at 9:19 pm #

    Thanks for your efforts!!!

  69. Robert 3 November 2008 at 9:22 pm #

  75. Brad Ruggles 4 November 2008 at 7:20 am #

What an awesome evening. Thanks for organizing it. It was so awesome for Lisa and I to sit with the laptop in the living room and gather with hundreds of other believers in prayer for our future elected officials.

    Prayer without partisanship.
Prayer for “our guy” and “the other guy.”

    It was very meaningful.

  76. Debbie 4 November 2008 at 7:36 am #

Just wanted to thank you for doing this. I’d never done anything like it before and it was just awesome. Computer issues knock me off a little before you were done so I just wanted to be sure and say thanks to you, to those who helped facilitate and to everyone who participated.

  77. Maren Vargas 4 November 2008 at 9:27 am #

  79. Marc 4 November 2008 at 1:12 pm #

Thanks for the prayer time last night. That was my first experience like that and I must say it put my mind at ease walking in to vote this morning.

Again, thanks for the great opportunity for the church to be the church. It was pretty cool to stand together (or type) and pray.

  80. -David 4 November 2008 at 2:43 pm #

Bold prayers! Maybe it starts a trend…

  81. Josh Adams 4 November 2008 at 2:46 pm #

Praying Backwards was definately a highlight of my year. It was awesome to see the church in unity.

  82. kells 4 November 2008 at 3:01 pm #

What a cool thing this was, a 150+ people praying that regardless of your political beliefs that the other side would be protected and would represent the kingdom of God! Thanks Los and co-hosts for putting this together, it put context around what we need tomorrow and for whomever takes office on January 20th.

  83. bub 4 November 2008 at 4:46 pm #

It was awesome praying for the other side. It helped to let go of a lot of resentment towards the other side when you have to pray for them and look at them as broken people with the same frailties that I have. Thanks.

  84. Peter Carino 4 November 2008 at 6:39 pm #

Thanks for doing this last night. I was in an out of the prayer time, I had to put the kids to bed. This was a fantastic time and I look forward to more of it. Keep it up Los!

    Peter

  85. Carol 4 November 2008 at 9:30 pm #

Keep it up LOS! Can I suggest, that we pray every day for the next 4 years for our President’s Elect well being?
