I Love To Work Topless

So my MacBook Pro freaked yesterday.
IT had my laptop all day today and I loved it.
I worked topless all day.
No laptop.
Just me and face to face conversations.
I’m thinking about having a topless day for myself every week.

What about you?
What do you think about working without technology for a day?
Could you do it once a week?
How do you think your efficiency would improve or slowly fail?

As much as I love technology (and some have claimed I'm addicted), I do love face to face interaction as well. I think it's healthy for us to unplug for a bit and have time without distractions.
With that said, I think it would be hard to go without technology for a day. But what a great challenge.

We didn't have a TV for the past month (my DLP bulb burned out)… I'm not as spiritual as I thought I was! Thanks for the channelsurfing.net heads up! We're back in action now.

Oh sweet crack of technology, how dearly I love thee. Can I go a day, or even multiple days consecutively without my laptop? Yep, and I do from time to time. But I'm sure not as often as I should.

Great idea. i needed to get some focused work done yesterday and had to take my laptop and give it to my assistant so i wouldn't be tempted to look at it.

    First off…funny picture!
next, I think it would be good to go a day without technology…I just may try it…next week, or the next… :)

    efficiency – down
    relationships – up
i'm going to guess that guys will wonder why you're in such a good mood.

I like the idea. Over 2008 I've taken a hand-full of days and done this- and the results have been great. I had been planning to do it at least once a month in '09, but I may have to reconsider and meet your challenge of once-a-week.

Love it! Hard to live like that these days. I can't last an hour without some technological fix, so I praise you for making it an entire day!

We have one technology free night a week. It's a great way for us to reconnect as a couple. We read, talk, do puzzles, paint and anything else we can think of. It's brought us together and it's really nice.

I think I could do it. The only thing I can't go without everyday is Jesus! Gotta have'm.

I'm a teacher and very dependent on technology! I am to the point I don't know what I'd do without my computer and Smartboard….

When our family computer took a dump we couldn't afford a new one so my laptop stay home quite a bit w/the fam. I feel less productive and, this could be mental, I feel less creative w/o my laptop. Oh, and I don't like people so that may have something to do with it. jk.

I think its not so much my laptop, but my mobile phone I'd struggle to live with out.

I'd probably be a lot more focused if I didn't get so distracted in general. I seem to only function with about 3 different windows open and some music/radio on in the background.

It would definitely be a challenge.

My internet was down in my apartment all weekend. I was really excited about posting a new desktop wallpaper related to social justice.

You can't blog without the internet.

    I was sad.

Umm… glad we could be of service ;) Hope the 'top' is working well today. It would be hard for me to go topless since that is my job… but I do enjoy not logging in on my weekends!! Ahhhh….
