Let There Be Light

In The Light
Got to hang out with my vatos from Third Day last night.
They let me take their pics while making Gatlinburg a little more tolerable.
This is a shot of Mark while he was shredding something ferocious and God was shining his light on his skillz.
Come check out the rest on mi flickr.

Snap Snap.

i was just so into u2 for so long that it was like i had to wean myself away like a puppy. Praise God that He inspired so many musicians to make better music.

    Picture is SICK!

I'm thinking about getting a new camera. any suggestions? (That question goes for anyone who reads this) I don't need a crazy expensive one, but one that takes good quality shots.

I agree w/Los. I've heard great things about Nikon but am a fan of Canon. I have the 40D and it's an amazing unit. Spent over a grand on it but the price should be coming down (if not already) seeing as they just released the 50D.

  11. loswhit 29 December 2008 at 5:13 am #

Well remember, you can take amazing shots on the camera you already own.
I'm a Nikon fan but Cannon's are worth their weight in gold.
Heather has a D60 that is under 400 and takes AMAZING pics.

That is a great photo. I'm dreaming of a new digital SLR arriving into my possession one of these days in the future.

I see that the new Ragamuffinsoul.com is more Espanol oriented as well. Good to know that the site is treading on bilingual turf now.

Ah sweet memories of winter extreme…it was our youth group's favorite trip of the year when i was in highschool…especially when we got stuck in the crappiest gatlinburg motels. good times.

Lovely photo… How about Shine a Light as an appropriate title? I like it paying homage and reference to another famous group of rockers.

Dude! Great shot. By the way, I was also in the Gatlinburg, TN area over the weekend. I wish I would have known you were around. I would have loved to buy you a latte and chat.

Los, Checkin’ out the new site on my Blackberry. It works on this platform, mostly. Comments are displayed only in order that they were entered, which makes it a bit disjointed. But that’s to be expected.

Funny thing is, though, John’s mug shot (er…do-shot) is displayed on every one of your comments.

Also, I agree with Los. There is a point when equipment (in this case a camera) will hold you back. But I’d venture to guess that almost all of us are a FAR way from that point. Learn to use what you have and
Get something new when you’ve pushed it to the limit of it’s capabilities.sorry to preach…

50mm f/1.8 just rocks as lens on Nikon's! So compact, it's great for concerts. Nice capture Los!
