We are all feeling it in some way.
So.
Let’s help each other get creative this holiday season.
Answer this for all of us so we can steal your brilliant ideas.

    Time

    …for anyone, and from anyone.

May sound corny, but it is by far the most precious thing any of us have to give.

My most memorable gift I've received was a second chance at life. Given to me by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ :-)

Most memorable gift I've given was forgiveness which i gave (and received) from my ex wife. Without it neither one of us would have been able to move on and heal out hearts

My positive pregnancy test, after losing twins and triplets. The test cost money, but the pregnancy was a gift from God.

My little gift is five now and he is my joy.

My birthday was in August, and we were very strapped for cash. I told my husband that I would much rather have something that took time and creativity and effort than something he could pick up at Wal-Mart. So, he put together a video for me. He asked our friends to pick one word that described me. He gathered these words and put them in a video with pictures he'd taken of me, our daughter, and things around the house. I wept when I saw it, and it is by far my most favorite gift from anyone, ever. I posted it on my facebook page to share with the world.

    wow, tough question…or not :-)
The most valuable, but free gift I will ever give or receive is love from a complete stranger. YOUR time is only valuable to YOU. Love someone who is not expecting it!

I am starting to get good at this! I haven't been working since August. But I love giving gifts, so I…

    1. write a poem, or acronym of their name, silly but sweet
    2. make a card, scrapbook materials or paper and pen, crayons, markers, I like to use watercolors.
    3. write a song
    4. paint a picture.
    5. write a story.
    6. burn a mixed CD

…and there are 6 more are listed on my blog

Last year, I dug up old some old photos and one to each of my family members along with a letter and an explaination of a special memory that the picture reminded me of. It was pretty special.
This year, we are scrounging up all our change, going to a coinstar kiosk and getting people gift cards for stocking stuffers. great gifts that don't come out of our budget

I have a collection of churches that I love. They are everywhere, and I know that some of my family have spent good money of some of them. However, my favorite was for free! My son, at the age of 9 I think, made me a church from his legos. It is proudly displayed in the curio along with the others. No cost.. all heart! and I LOVE it!

The best present that I have ever received that was (almost) free was a water color from a friend of a butterfly…she's a talented artist, so it was extremely thoughtful and beautiful.

We've had a long and difficult adoption journey. One of the ways that our small group blessed us was with prayer. They made us a calendar, each day has the name of someone from our small group that will be praying for us. They have committed to praying until our son comes home.

Just got it— My four youngest kiddos decided they'd rather have their older brother (who's 24 and lives in LA) home for Christmas instead of getting presents, so we booked him a plane ticket with the $ that was going to put presents under the tree for them. Some days, my kids blow me away.

    Hahahaha! that is hilarious!
My gift is salvation. Jesus Christ paid it for me so that I could receive with no charge. Thank you Jesus!

Check it out…we have used many of these ideas. Some are free…some are a few bucks, but all are great ideas. Take an idea and add your best idea!

I would have to say that the most memorable FREE present I got for Christmas was a self made card from my little bro that told me he looked up to me and loved me for the first tim…totally unlike him. I was 12 and he was 8. Ain't gonna lie, it got me.

Last Christmas, my husband lost his job and we were freaking out how we were going to get Christmas gifts for our family. Our good friends down the street moved and before they left, they left a pile of things out on their driveway with a sign “FREE” on it. Several of these items became Christmas gifts. One of the items was a stepping stone maker kit. I had no idea what the heck I was going to do with it. And then it came to me. Looking back, some of our fondest memories were on our beach trips with my mom and dad. I decided to use that Stepping Stone kit and decorated it with shells we had collected from our 7 past beach trips. This became the perfect gift for my father and Charlotte's grandfather. Drawn into the drying concrete were the words “Poppy's Garden” named for all of the memories harvested on that beach for so many years. It was so special!.

My Hubs is letting me keep a kitten that he said, at first, that we had to find a home for. He specifically said that's my Christmas present this year. The kitten's napping behind me on my chair as I type this. Pretty good present!
