Others that I just can't live without: Yelp, Simplify, and Facebook

Are you kiddin me? Twittelator is the shizzle. YouVersion rocks! Vlingo is great cuz it actually works. The game “DOTS” is ridiculously addictive. I like the snow globe when i'm bored. I could go on and on…Twittelator is a must though

  30. supersimbo 9 December 2008 at 10:49 am #

  31. Mickey 9 December 2008 at 12:16 pm #

The Facebook app is very slick, Google Earth is a great one to show off, and Jott and WordPress are very handy. Looking forward to Nozbe coming out soon (GTD).

  32. Davis 9 December 2008 at 1:18 pm #

Evernote and Llama Slate are my favorite apps. For filmmaking and creative work, I have my information EVERYWHERE I go… and can just about darn near slate anything at anytime on camera. Word is bond yo.

stanza. read books with one hand while rocking a baby.
sol solitaire. 30 variations of solitaire, i purchased for $1
qik. stream online video from your phone. (have to jailbreak… but it's totally worth it.)
categories. the reason i re-jailbroke. puts your apps in folders. I only have two pages of “home” screen.

  34. Tammy M. 9 December 2008 at 2:08 pm #

The app I use most – Twittelator
    My favorite – Old Camera
My kids favorite – Ocarina (I like this one too, I like listening to the other players across the world more than I like playing it myself)

  35. Josh Daws 9 December 2008 at 2:14 pm #

Stanza is the best. It's an eBook reader that's really easy to use and comfortable to read. Plus it has a huge selection of public domain books and they just added a store for books not in the public domain. It's also easy to copy eBooks from your desktop to the iphone using the Stanza desktop app. I can't recommend this app highly enough.

  36. Michael Harrison 9 December 2008 at 2:15 pm #

I am doing it different. A list. Sorry, but here I go…

    1. Twitterific
    2. Google App (esp. voice search and calendar)
    3. Dotts (my kids and I interact)
    4. MiGhtyDocs (allows access to google documents)
    5. Lightsaber ( my wife and son are StarWars junkies)
    6. EasyWriter (ability to type e-mail in landscape mode)

  39. DLT 9 December 2008 at 3:15 pm #

ok, so i am iphoneless, but check out Storytime – http://istorytime.net/. a guy in my small group put it together as a tool to start teaching his son a christian wordview. too cool!

  40. Michelle 9 December 2008 at 3:19 pm #

My favorite is… nope don't have one. Thanks for rubbing it in.

  41. ricracmom 9 December 2008 at 3:21 pm #

This isn't an app, but my husband and I use a free service called nueva sync. We have a shared google calendar that will sync to both of our iphones. Now either of us can add events into our phones and it will show up online and on the other person's phone. So far works flawlessly and helps us keep track of each other.

  42. Jeremy 9 December 2008 at 3:22 pm #

Remote. Great for rehearsals. Control iMac in booth from stage. Let's me send the sound guy home early

  43. jenn 9 December 2008 at 3:27 pm #

    Lose It!

It helps track your calories and exercise. I have NEVER counted calories, but this thing makes it so easy – and I've already lost weight!

  44. matt 9 December 2008 at 3:28 pm #

Zenbe lists – It's a on line to do list, so my wife and I can share the list. I add “milk” to the grocery list, she see's it when she's at the store. It's great. Also I use it to manage other task.

  45. Pat 9 December 2008 at 3:30 pm #

My favourite app would have to be Count It Off (http://www.roobasoft.com). From an indie developer, this app does exactly what it says it does, and does it very, very well. It even syncs to an online app, in case you need to enter data away from your iPhone.

  46. Patrick 9 December 2008 at 3:38 pm #

    1. Mocha VNC Lite (up to 10 screens I can access, all for free)
    2. Twitteriffic – it's a given

And my soon to be fave –

    ProPresenter Remote.

    I mean, oh my gorrrsh.

  47. Greg 9 December 2008 at 3:52 pm #

    Dog Whistle!

I don't have an iPhone, but my buddy does. We were over at another friends house and she couldn't figure out why her dog kept looking around and barking at nothing.

    I knew…. yes… I knew

Sugar Sync….I can now take my pdf/jpeg/doc files to worship meetings and drop them on the team's laptops etc from my phone….very helpful.

  51. Kyle Reed 9 December 2008 at 4:12 pm #

    Pandora, has to be Pandora.
    Way better than LastFM.
You can find any artist and then get songs or genres relating to that artist by other artist (Hope that made sense).
As well, you can rate the song, thumbs up or thumbs down, after you have rated a handful of songs, Pandora starts to figure out your preferences and starts to pump in the jams of the stuff that you would like.
Found Kings of Leon through Pandora and I was hooked.
You have to get this one, and it is free.

  52. fayola 9 December 2008 at 4:50 pm #

    Twittelator
    Evernote
    Melodis Dialer
…and I love that stupid Maze Finger game too.

  53. Jeff 9 December 2008 at 4:53 pm #

A “could be longer than this but I'll try to keep it short” list:

    1. Cycorder (uncompressed video recorder for iPhone)
    2. Ace Tennis — very addictive, and you can play with people worldwide
    3. Snapture — takes the camera to another level
    4. Little of this would be possible without CYDIA… Jailbreaking rules!

  54. Jeff 9 December 2008 at 5:15 pm #

Oh yeah… I almost forgot: iReal SMS — A landscape SMS tool where u can also save drafts, have folders for SMS messages, quick reply, the list goes on!

  55. Zack 9 December 2008 at 5:22 pm #

  56. Josh Booth 9 December 2008 at 5:28 pm #

Nobody else has mentioned this yet:

Woah! I love mexican train, I had no idea there was an app for it. Next on my queue of app downloads.

  58. melguera 9 December 2008 at 5:47 pm #

I'd hate to seem holier than thou, but…
Fav iPhone app: Holy Bible (YouVersion)
Why?: Great Daily Read, great UI, always adding new functionality and features.
    2nd Fav: Twitteriffic. (@melguera)
Why?: 'Cause I'm an addict. There, I said it.

  59. Paul J. 9 December 2008 at 5:55 pm #

Personal – Melodis Dialer, Twitterrific, Google, iTV, NetNewsWire, FoxNews, ESPN, YouVersion, WeatherBug, Tipulator

Stupid – iPint, Lightsaber, Platinum Solitaire, Crazy Lighter, Air Hockey, Koi Pond, Harmonica, Bubbles

Costs money – SplashID (So essential to help me keep track of passwords, etc.)

Absolutely Free – Pandora, FileMagnet, and Bible. Flashlight has been helpful at times plus it reminds me of the old Star Trek flashlights that I thought never could be reality. :)

Google – voice & type searches

myLite – turn your iPhone into a flashlight (or strobe)
Simple GPS – find your lat & long coordinates

I can't justify an iPhone while there's poverty in this world, but if I had one, I'd totally be up for Sit or Squat, which is a guide to public restrooms all over the world.

  64. Gerald 9 December 2008 at 8:22 pm #

tap defense and fieldrunners for the ipod touch.
I waste lots of time with these games.

  69. dirkdallas 9 December 2008 at 11:32 pm #

If you're not rich enough to have an iPhone then you're probably not rich enough to get the new ESV Bible: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/...

I was hoping it would be cheaper.

  70. rachel 9 December 2008 at 11:42 pm #

    Top 3
