i love the… wait… no…. i don't have an iPhone. nevermind.
Jaadu…. remote desktop VNC client. absolutely amazing.
I know I'm late on this train but Pandora Radio is sick!
“Backgrounds”
It's awesome. Tons of pics and funny things to use as your phone wallpaper. It's Free. Right now…my phone wallpaper shows a status bar and says “resolving global warming.” Silly, but why not.
i just have an ipod touch, but i love the ConnectFour game…perfect time killer and actually quite difficult to beat the computer on.
I have to pick just one? Hmmm…Ocarina is definitely most innovative I believe. I mean, come on, it's a phone and a musical instrument?!
i have two…
CameraBag and Twitterific
GF Caller.
My honey is a button away.
I finally got an iPhone yesterday and I love it!… Actually I'm commenting from it right now. I'm getting quite fast on this keyboard…I an completely hooked on a game called trace
The Mexican Train domino game :]
I have been searching everywhere for a Mexican Train iphone app but cannot find one. Can you please tell me the name of this app so I can download it?
man am i the only reader who doesn't have an iPhone?!
I know it's been out for a while, but cuberunner is still tha bomb.
You don't have to have an iPhone. Just do what I do – borrow your friend's.
Holy Bible– no excuse not to read the Word
Touchtype– landscape email typing
CameraBag– photo effects on my pics straight from the iPhone
Check Please- I like rounding my bill and tip, and Im lazy
twitterific, holmes!… and the snooze button yea?!
Yep – Holy Bible has a great Daily Read.
Facebook is a great app to keep the addiction at one's fingertips.
Grocery IQ keeps me more organized.
Word Warp & Solitare are my games.
GroceryIQ & Remote
twitterific fo sho. Facebook comes in at a close second. As far as none social networking apps go. probably google.app and itv.
you can find my twitter @ryanjoy. seemed right since i use twitterific so much
FrontPocket, but that's probably because I built it, soooooo……
Other than that, I love Twitfire…super fast Twitter posting. Oh, and FieldRunner for my fav game.
Spiritual answer: YouVersion
Use answer: Twitterific
Fun answer: … but for fun, live poker (texas hold'em) – I'm makin' tons of pretend $$
21
Urbanspoon
I'll never go hungry again.
what if you don't have an iphone and have no interest in having one?
Fun: Field Runner
Functional: Omnifocus (literally worth every penny)
Others that I just can't live without: Yelp, Simplify, and Facebook
Now if they could just a copy/paste it would be perfect.
Palm Treo for life sucka!!!
Are you kiddin me? Twittelator is the shizzle. YouVersion rocks! Vlingo is great cuz it actually works. The game “DOTS” is ridiculously addictive. I like the snow globe when i'm bored. I could go on and on…Twittelator is a must though
i like iPint, means i can pretend im sipping on a pint in Church!
The Facebook app is very slick, Google Earth is a great one to show off, and Jott and WordPress are very handy. Looking forward to Nozbe coming out soon (GTD).
Evernote and Llama Slate are my favorite apps. For filmmaking and creative work, I have my information EVERYWHERE I go… and can just about darn near slate anything at anytime on camera. Word is bond yo.
-Davis
stanza. read books with one hand while rocking a baby.
sol solitaire. 30 variations of solitaire, i purchased for $1
qik. stream online video from your phone. (have to jailbreak… but it's totally worth it.)
categories. the reason i re-jailbroke. puts your apps in folders. I only have two pages of “home” screen.
The app I use most – Twittelator
My favorite – Old Camera
My kids favorite – Ocarina (I like this one too, I like listening to the other players across the world more than I like playing it myself)
Stanza is the best. It's an eBook reader that's really easy to use and comfortable to read. Plus it has a huge selection of public domain books and they just added a store for books not in the public domain. It's also easy to copy eBooks from your desktop to the iphone using the Stanza desktop app. I can't recommend this app highly enough.
I am doing it different. A list. Sorry, but here I go…
1. Twitterific
2. Google App (esp. voice search and calendar)
3. Dotts (my kids and I interact)
4. MiGhtyDocs (allows access to google documents)
5. Lightsaber ( my wife and son are StarWars junkies)
6. EasyWriter (ability to type e-mail in landscape mode)
nope!
Vlingo (voice command EVERYTHING) & Vringo (matches your contacts to your Facebook friends picture).
ok, so i am iphoneless, but check out Storytime – http://istorytime.net/. a guy in my small group put it together as a tool to start teaching his son a christian wordview. too cool!
My favorite is… nope don't have one. Thanks for rubbing it in.
This isn't an app, but my husband and I use a free service called nueva sync. We have a shared google calendar that will sync to both of our iphones. Now either of us can add events into our phones and it will show up online and on the other person's phone. So far works flawlessly and helps us keep track of each other.
Remote. Great for rehearsals. Control iMac in booth from stage. Let's me send the sound guy home early
Lose It!
It helps track your calories and exercise. I have NEVER counted calories, but this thing makes it so easy – and I've already lost weight!
Zenbe lists – It's a on line to do list, so my wife and I can share the list. I add “milk” to the grocery list, she see's it when she's at the store. It's great. Also I use it to manage other task.
My favourite app would have to be Count It Off (http://www.roobasoft.com). From an indie developer, this app does exactly what it says it does, and does it very, very well. It even syncs to an online app, in case you need to enter data away from your iPhone.
1. Mocha VNC Lite (up to 10 screens I can access, all for free)
2. Twitteriffic – it's a given
And my soon to be fave –
ProPresenter Remote.
I mean, oh my gorrrsh.
Dog Whistle!
I don't have an iPhone, but my buddy does. We were over at another friends house and she couldn't figure out why her dog kept looking around and barking at nothing.
I knew…. yes… I knew
My kids love Jared.
double nope…
Sugar Sync….I can now take my pdf/jpeg/doc files to worship meetings and drop them on the team's laptops etc from my phone….very helpful.
Pandora, has to be Pandora.
Way better than LastFM.
You can find any artist and then get songs or genres relating to that artist by other artist (Hope that made sense).
As well, you can rate the song, thumbs up or thumbs down, after you have rated a handful of songs, Pandora starts to figure out your preferences and starts to pump in the jams of the stuff that you would like.
Found Kings of Leon through Pandora and I was hooked.
You have to get this one, and it is free.
Twittelator
Evernote
Melodis Dialer
…and I love that stupid Maze Finger game too.
A “could be longer than this but I'll try to keep it short” list:
1. Cycorder (uncompressed video recorder for iPhone)
2. Ace Tennis — very addictive, and you can play with people worldwide
3. Snapture — takes the camera to another level
4. Little of this would be possible without CYDIA… Jailbreaking rules!
Oh yeah… I almost forgot: iReal SMS — A landscape SMS tool where u can also save drafts, have folders for SMS messages, quick reply, the list goes on!
I'm not rich enough to have an iPhone, but I read that there's a full-fledged ESV Study Bible version coming soon!
Nobody else has mentioned this yet:
Air Sharing – turns your iPhone into a wireless harddrive over wifi. Handy!
Woah! I love mexican train, I had no idea there was an app for it. Next on my queue of app downloads.
I'd hate to seem holier than thou, but…
Fav iPhone app: Holy Bible (YouVersion)
Why?: Great Daily Read, great UI, always adding new functionality and features.
2nd Fav: Twitteriffic. (@melguera)
Why?: 'Cause I'm an addict. There, I said it.
Personal – Melodis Dialer, Twitterrific, Google, iTV, NetNewsWire, FoxNews, ESPN, YouVersion, WeatherBug, Tipulator
Music/Worship – Planning Center, Metronome, TapTheBeat, Shazam
Stupid – iPint, Lightsaber, Platinum Solitaire, Crazy Lighter, Air Hockey, Koi Pond, Harmonica, Bubbles
Costs money – SplashID (So essential to help me keep track of passwords, etc.)
Absolutely Free – Pandora, FileMagnet, and Bible. Flashlight has been helpful at times plus it reminds me of the old Star Trek flashlights that I thought never could be reality.
AroundMe
Fo Sho!
Facebook – a must have if you are on Facebook
eWallet – to keep all your important numbers, pins, passwords, cc, etc..
ShopShop – an EASY and free shopping list with a memory
Todo – a great list making app that syncs with Toodledo (online & computer)
Holy Bible by YouVersion – Free, and can download versions for offline reading
Express – news, weather, sports, etc..
Google – voice & type searches
Shazam – find out the name of any song
Pandora – free music
SportsTap – sports scores
Matches Plus – after 10 levels it gets very difficult
Showtimes – movies at your theaters
BJ Run – cool blackjack game
Video Poker – cool 1 person poker
AccuFuel – keep track of gas mileage
SoLuna – moon phases & sunrise/sunset times (great for hunters, etc.)
Coin Flip – cool graphics & sound effects (no need to look for a coin to flip)
TipStar – figure tips
FlipCounter – keep track of… anything
myLite – turn your iPhone into a flashlight (or strobe)
Simple GPS – find your lat & long coordinates
I can't justify an iPhone while there's poverty in this world, but if I had one, I'd totally be up for Sit or Squat, which is a guide to public restrooms all over the world.
tap defense and fieldrunners for the ipod touch.
I waste lots of time with these games.
trism is hours of mind numbing fun
glad someone mentioned the lightsaber.
CameraBag!
Can any one recommend a GTD app for iPhone?
If you're not rich enough to have an iPhone then you're probably not rich enough to get the new ESV Bible: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/...
I was hoping it would be cheaper.
Top 3
1. Facebook – yes I am addicted
2. Blocked – dumb game but I love it
3. Magic 8 ball – really gets the iphone haters to roll their eyes!
Still looking for a good twitter app…sounds like twitterific is the groups choice!
Facebook
Twitterrific
Google Maps
Air Cam Live Video: It allows me to access my iSight camera in my office over a shared network or adhoc…great way to check in on your interns…
I wouldn't want to try to make it through the week without OmniFocus on my iphone.
Remember the Milk
Evernote
Twitterrific
nice find. I will certainly buy that one the moment I upgrade to Leopard. (I know, I'm that guy)
Best GTD ever: SmartTime, then LuxTouch, NewsStand, AppSniper, BeatMaker, Iconic Notes, Photogene. And yeah, I got all those other ones too.
Beatmaker for sure
I really dig the Phone part. it's awesome. you can call whoever you want. amazing.
That’s because it doesn’t exist. That girl doesn’t know what shed talking about. They need to make an app for Mexican Train. It rocks!
