It means everything to me, more so to the point that we need to find and create ways for others to see it as well…

He died – he sacrificed everything so I could be with Him.
He rose again – He is alive and active and at work – in ME.

  5. Vy Tran 13 April 2009 at 3:59 am #

it means I can live my life like it matters.

1 Corinthians 15:18-20. Without the resurrection, our faith is meaningless and we above all men should be pitied…But Christ HAS RISEN!! It is the foundation of our belief in Him and his atonement for our sins. Thanks be to God we have hope for our Salvation for he has indeed RISEN!

Without this, I have no Life.
Without this, life would be Death.

His death confirms His humanity, His resurrection confirms He IS God. And what He had in Him in earth, I now have in me.

So why do I not do greater things than He…every moment of every day…? …

Life, Hope & Faith. We don't deserve what Jesus did for us, but I am glad he loved us so much that he did.

  9. Scott 13 April 2009 at 4:07 am #

The belief in this brings peace to some people, for which I am glad.

    It means love to me.
    A love I cannot comprehend.
A love I seem to fight against far too often.

it means everything. every decision i make is grateful and reflective of what he did on the cross

  12. Jen C 13 April 2009 at 4:17 am #

The fact that Jesus Christ died and rose again. . . is my reason for living. The overwhelming, authentic love compels me to love others and pass on the grace I received but will never deserve.

Three words come to mind, amazing, thankful, and love. I am amazed at His love for me and thankful that He not only came to save my soul but to save every part of me. The really great part is the fact that He didn’t stop amazing me with what He did on the cross for me but He continues to amaze me throughout my everyday life by revealing more of Himself to me and what He created me to be. He is definitely my favorite!

it means that nothing is the same. and we have a lot to do, not out of necessity, but out of pure joy.. because the Truth has set us free.

Right now it means that even though the fighting in BKK looks hopeless for a better future, I have a God who defeated death itself. So there is ALWAYS hope for a better future.

Can I be honest? Is that allowed here? For years, it meant everything. But for the last fews years, it has meant nothing. Wish it did, but somewhere along the way I have lost it. Wish I could be on the other side of that again.

    • dean 13 April 2009 at 1:45 pm #

dear lost… all i'll say is that i've been there before. i won't bore you with a pep talk or chew you out for lacking faith. but i will pray for you. i know the desolation of that feeling you have.

      • Lost 13 April 2009 at 7:54 pm #

        thank you dean.

  17. josh 13 April 2009 at 4:55 am #

it means to me that he was exactly who he said he was…and for that, there's hope that there is something besides "just getting by" in life.

  18. joanne 13 April 2009 at 5:07 am #

It means everything. The total game changer. It's not about only the here and now, but about the eternal. Our God can do anything and everything. We have nothing to fear when it comes to death, because Jesus overcame death.

    everything.

  24. dean 13 April 2009 at 1:42 pm #

it means i don't worship a dead guy. it means my King is alive…
it means i don't just have to follow some system or a collection of saying and quotes from somebody whose remains were long ago eaten by worms, but that i can have direct fellowship with the God to whom i've given my life.

  25. Randi 13 April 2009 at 1:45 pm #

It means everything. It means that I am valuable to God and have a purpose. I am loved unconditionally. What an awesome gift I've been given!

  26. Nicole 13 April 2009 at 2:38 pm #

It means I can stop trying to impress God.
Because I can't, and because I dont' need to.

  27. T-papa 13 April 2009 at 3:00 pm #

It means I am loved, whether I feel like it or not.

  28. Rob Edwards 13 April 2009 at 3:01 pm #

The Resurrection means I can have life on BOTH SIDES of death!

  29. bleedworship 13 April 2009 at 3:58 pm #

Romans 4:25 – read this so many times and it finally hit me…

25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.

Here's what it means to me… The fact that He died means we are a filthy mess and someone had to pay for our utter failure… But the fact that He rose means that we have been justified, declared legally by the Judge Himself to be utterly innocent. The moment our sin's ransom was paid, Jesus busted out of the grave, and the enemy has no power any longer to hold his accusations against us! Halleluiah He is risen! Jump up and down about that!

  30. Davi 13 April 2009 at 5:18 pm #

    It is not a "fact."

The premise of this entire thread is askew.

    • bleedworship 14 April 2009 at 1:51 pm #

      Davi…
semantics… why not try and be more unifying instead of so contrary… why not share what the TRUTH that Jesus Christ Died and Rose again means to you then?

      Ephesians 4:1-3
1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

      • Davi 15 April 2009 at 12:25 am #

        Nor is it a truth.

        • bleedworship 15 April 2009 at 12:44 pm #

          Davi,
Since you obviously know everything, why not enlighten the rest of us as to what the death and resurrection of Jesus is to you?

  31. Keith Barger 13 April 2009 at 5:24 pm #

It means that all the work, stress, planning, time, sweat, tears… is worth it, in order that someone comes to know the grace that is given through the resurrection.

  32. ricky 14 April 2009 at 1:50 am #

    He saved the day,HE reigns

  33. Graham Brenna 14 April 2009 at 6:41 pm #

    Forgiveness… you're not a hopeless cause… and eternal life

  34. Nancy 15 April 2009 at 10:22 pm #

It means we can be forgiven, we are constantly LOVED, we can have a peace that passes all understanding, it means we can live after death with our Heavenly Father.
Thank you for making me think of this!
