Sweet! You can pray for the Czech Republic, where I work with Athletes in Action. It's a country of nearly 90% "atheists" and we don't see much fruit here! Pray that God would stir. I have so many tight relationships, but things guys can't/won't take that "final" step! I ache that God would raise up worshipers here! Thanks Los!

I'm in my last few weeks of University, I have a major project due next week, then a month of exams, so prayer for that would be great

Please pray that I would gain clarity of God's purpose for my life, that I would happily accept it, and have the courage to be the best at what He's called me to be. Please also pray that God will either provide me with siginificantly more income or show me clearly how/where (by way of unmistakable opened and closed doors, preferably) to cut from my budget. I've done just about all I can but still don't have enough and it sucks.

  7. Erik 7 May 2009 at 7:36 pm #

I am a evangelist / speaker guy :: http://www.erikwillts.com :: and this past year has been really slow for this ministry God has given me. Pray with me that God would give me vision and opportunity for this ministry!
And it's my first year of marriage! LOTS of prayer for that as well!
    Grace and peace

Pray for the non-mother's. I know, it sounds strange. There are woman for whom this weekend is heart breaking. They face infertility, failed adoption, miscarriage, loss on so many levels. Many are estranged from their own mothers and sisters because of the battle they find and many humans inability to deal with such intense grief. This weekend is a time to celebrate, but it's also a time of grief. They need all the prayer they can get.

  34. haemin 7 May 2009 at 8:16 pm #

    thanks Los.
i have to have a difficult conversation with a friend next week which will likely end our friendship. harder still b/c we haven't explicitly wronged each other, we care about each other very much, but i'm a girl, he's a guy… throw in some one-sided feelings, heavy involvement in the same ministries, and a lot of mutual friends, and things could get hairy. that and… my heart just hurts. but i know God cares for me and for this situation, even if it's not the "worst" out there.

  35. Peter 7 May 2009 at 8:17 pm #

What a fantasic thing. Thank you…

Corporately (church), please pray for wisdom as we steward all the teens getting saved and discipled here in Watertown, NY. Also for all the invitations we are receiving in the school systems, to help serve the principals and the staff: creative ideas!

Personally, please pray for my Jenny and the delivery of our 3rd, a baby boy named Judah, coming in just two weeks (or so). I could use prayer for strength and stamina as we're running flat out up here.

    And you? Anything in particular?

    Blessings!

Please pray for my summer. I will be separated from the team of girls that I labor with on my college campus, which has caused breaks between groups in the past. Please pray that the Lord works mightily through this time, and that he makes our team even stronger next year because all of us have been abiding in Christ this summer. Thanks, Carlos!

Pray for the group that I meet with for people seeking healing from unwanted same sex attractions. Pray we would understand the Lord's definition for healing, how to walk in grace, and how to let go of shame, and to find support here in Mississippi……(not a great place to struggle with same sex attractions)!

  40. Nas 7 May 2009 at 8:23 pm #

    Thanks Los.

Please pray for my friend Tasha who just found out today that her 10-year-old daughter Sydney's inoperable brain tumor is growing and spreading. The docs at St. Jude's have given her 1 to 2 months to live. On Monday, just before leaving from Northern IL to travel to St. Jude's, Tasha found out that her mom Ann has esophageal cancer. A lot of heartbreaking news to receive in one week… pray for strength and peace for Tasha, her husband Dean, their younger son Carson, and Sydney. http://www.ivestrong.com

Two things. Daughter, Amanda, age 22, graduating from Baylor in 8 days! Job prospects are tough. Degree in marketing; she loves event planning & organizing things. Me, 51, out of work, recovering addict, pharmacist. Makes peeps not want me! I have almost 2 years clean & a great program of recovery. Relocation not possible. Not rehireable at the 2 places I worked previously. Zero tolerance stuff. Kind of sad, really. I have such a great attitude (except the past couple of weeks) and I love what I do. I have been unemployed since mid-Nov. It sucks. So does unemployment. Thanks, Los. Since your blogatical, I see changes in how you approach life. I appreciate you more now than ever. You are just so real & say things so simply.

pray for a pure and godly relationship between my boyfriend and i, and continued resolution of our issues that hurt the other.

  57. Greg_MacMillan 7 May 2009 at 10:10 pm #

I need a ton of prayer for my family, my relationship with my wife has been strained for so long now and trying to ressurect it is not an easy task. Trying to get God's vision for my life off the ground and it is tough to focus on God's call when you have to get your house in order first and nothing seems to work. Sometimes I feel like I am up against a wall with no where to go. I just want to make progress with our relationship and get us where God wants us and I know the rest of the vision will work itself out per say. I know it is all god's timing and Him working not me but patience is not on my side at the moment…I need strength in faith and courage in Christ..

    Thanks Los,
    Greg

Thank you for praying, Los. I would love it if you would pray that God bless my husband with wisdom and clear direction. He is a wonderful husband, father and son. And he has been waiting on God's leading about where he should be in ministry. Recently he voluntarily stepped down from his job as a global finance manager (he has been taking seminary classes for years in preparation for ministry–3 classes and he's finished!) so he could save another man's job. He felt that it was time to step out in faith…please pray for God's direction and peace.

  78. Amanda Mae Arnold 8 May 2009 at 12:33 am #

So, about three months ago, I began to feel called to surrender the whole of myself to Christ. I guess we all are, but there was an immediate need for me to surrender my future plans, and all the things I thought I was supposed to do with my life. Then, God told me to wait. I am still waiting. Beyond the summer, I have no real specific plans. I definitely feel like I am standing on a precipice, on the edge of something God has for me. Pray that God would give me both direction and solace, and that I would have understanding of where he has called me to be.

Thanks so much, Carlos! Your willingness to intercede is awesome, and touching. I really appreciate it.

Life's moments are intense these days! Pray that in the rub – the smell will be sweet even if it stinks like rotten eggs. Ministering to the seen/unseen and at times forget who is who. May we only see with His eyes. And may we share His love as if there is no tomorrow. If He can see every spect of me – may I see stained glass windows in others.

Praying for all who have commented thus far, are yet to and won't but will read.

  80. Robert 8 May 2009 at 12:37 am #

  86. Shayne Welch 8 May 2009 at 1:30 am #

    First Los, thanks for praying.

I want my hunger and passion for God's word to be so strong in me that I can't go to bed without spending time in it. I want to know Him and be close to Him and by so doing, change the atmosphere in my home, my workplace, and my church. More than anything, I want to stop making everything about me and make everything about Jesus. In short, I need a spiritual heart transplant.

  87. Art_Good 8 May 2009 at 1:38 am #

I just started a new ministry position (youth pastor) and I am feeling a little overwhelmed. Please pray that I can be authentic and anointed to connect with the students.

Could also use some prayer for our finances. Youth Pastors don't make much! :)

  88. Jen C 8 May 2009 at 1:41 am #

Wow. I am overwhelmed at your willingness to pray for us: some people you know and some you don't. I am one you don't know, and I haven't been following your blog for all that long, but I could tell from day one that you are as honest and real as it gets. Thank you.

I am inspired by your blog & twitter to open myself up and become more authentic. That's been a goal of mine lately, but when I got here I could see a community of people more willing to share concern and love than worry about who is in charge of what program/event/committee. I have been surrounded by the believers in my local church who don't seem to even know each other. I can't remember the last time someone came up to me and asked me, "How can I pray for you?"

Please pray for me to find the person God created me to be, and to follow the Holy Spirit's leading in my life to become my most authentic. Pray for my husband and me as we consider what vision God may be calling us to pursue.

    Thanks for being willing.

P.S. Give Heather a "Hi" and tell her she's a great wife/mom. I have 3 kids as well, and her blog/tweets just echo my day. :)

please pray for my dad. he is suffering with bi-polar disorder and has been manic for months. he has been put under an involuntary 5150 hold. it is an answer to prayer because it has gotten him off the streets and in a place where he can't harm himself or others. please pray specifically that the doctors and social workers can come to an agreement that he should have an extended hold (14 days) so the family can come together and find a safe, comfortable place for him to live. also, please pray he would find comfort and be healed from the deep wounds in his soul. thank you.

So many things!! Pray I don't get swept into busyness and forget ORANGE and DRIVE, and what I learned there… that i will help focus the church in VISION vs. plans, help create a volunteer revival and help some key people in church ask some hard questions about why we are doing certain things that we probably shouldn't be doing… so scared i will lose the ability to dream. thanks man! how can we pray for you?

My son (whom we're adopting) was born on Wednesday about 5.5 weeks early. He's progressing, but it's stressful. We can't have biological children and after working that journey… the last 36 hours have felt like an eternity. GOD's been good so far! Why stop trusting now? His name is Isaac.

I am one of the many 1st year teachers to get pink-slipped this year.
I finish my master's in education this summer.
Please pray I have a job that will utilize my education.
Scratch that…pray that I will have a way to make a living that is wherever God wants me.

Oh, and I miss you and your fam, Los.

If you could pray for guidance and clarity in vision as I look forward toward what is after this internship as well as focus and the ability to really grasp all that God has for me in this internship.

Pray for my family (and I guess me) who misses me so much during my busy season at work. My work is important to children and I put my heart and soul into our program which my daughter is a part of. But I have been so preoccupied with it lately and have not had time for family time. I am so conflicted and sad. I feel like a bad mother and wife.

  98. Jamie 8 May 2009 at 12:48 pm #

Wow… I've read every request posted here thus far and my heart is moved… I feel like I'd be selfish even adding my own list of needs and desires, especially compared to the needs of those that are truly in a place of having to trust the Lord for the seemingly impossible. So as I stand in faith and agreement for every request listed here, I will rejoice in knowing that God has provided for every need, including my own, exceedingly, abundantly, and above all that we could ever think of, dream of, or even imagine. Thank you Los for sharing your life with us, and thank you for extending your faith to connect with us in prayer.

After the Drive Conference this week I am re-convicted that our church so needs to to define its vision. Please pray that (1) God would move in our Pastor's heart to see this and (2) that God would use me however to He wants to make that happen. No holes barred, if I need to get fired because of this so be it, but we have to move ahead for the the Kingdom.
    Thanks loswhit!

Our church is at a turning point. Will we go where God has told us or will we sit here and die. This weekend will be the last with us for some people.

Please pray for a Christian mentor to come along beside him and guide Him to do God's will. Please pray he can discover God's plan for his life and how to use his talents for God's glory.

Husband needs a job, and we're going through some big transitions. Pray it'll bring us closer together and more dependant on God through all of it and that his will is clear.

Los – how can we pray for you while you pray for us?

  107. Kelly 8 May 2009 at 3:50 pm #

This is quite selfish but very real to me. Please pray that my family stays strong as we continue to weather difficult storms and that whatever the outcome, everyone's emotional, spiritual and physical health remains intact.

We are adopting a little girl from Ethiopia. We have her pics, she is in our hearts, but we have not been given a court date. It's been almost 6 months waiting to be submitted, much longer than we had anticipated. We just want her home. Please pray that things start moving so that she can be home and safe with us!

  109. Dandelion Seeds 8 May 2009 at 6:04 pm #

You always ask for real… so here I am again…

The last time you did this… I asked for prayer for my husband and I as we were going to go through bankruptcy (my husband lost his business)… we didn't even have the money to pay for it, and then a check showed up to cover the cost. We are now going through the bankruptcy process and our home is in foreclosure… we don't know how much time we have to stay… but that's the "catch" of God's timing…

We have went through an assessment center for Church Planting… and are ready for the next step but God has not showed us where. We know we must leave our home soon and have no idea where to go… as there is certainly a financial aspect as well (not to mention the size of our family… tee hee…)

Please pray for God's CLEAR DIRECTION and where His desire for us to be is. We know His timing is always perfect even when things look bleak… He called us and He will not leave us. We are willing to go where ever He opens the door…

Thanks Los… praying for you and your family as well…
    Amy

Thank Los, I will be on at 10pm to join in the prayer, yet don't know if I will get the live feed because my internet is slow in the Dominican Republic.

I would love prayer that the professor accepts being my thesis director and my proposal for the thesis. Pray that I can get the thesis project completed and graduate for the Spring with my Masters. I don't want to do the other options because they would take me away from the Dominican Republic.

If you could pray for a friend of mine who is going through tough times and needs clear direction and strength.

Pray for the students that I teach. One that I have been working with the most is an athesist. Pray that she sees God in me and wants that. Pray that I am an example of Christ. I know I have an awesome connection with the students and that is only becuase Christ lives in me. Pray that these students want Christ and accept him.

    Thanks Los.

I Praise God for meeting ALL our Needs. Especially while my Husband (Paul) has been out of work. I also ask that we be given a clear vision for this potential job. Or open a new door. I also ask for calmness in Paul's heart he is very anxious to find work. But he is disabled and can only do a desk job. I know God is and can use his wonderful abilities in I.T. to glorify him in a wonderful new job made just for Paul.

God is like a STAR When the Skies the Darkest God Shines the BRIGHTEST!!

My wife and I both "work" in the church. We have been married for 10 months. 2 weeks after our honeymoon she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and has become increasingly more aggressive throughout the last year. She is only 21 years old. Needless to say it has made our first year of marriage somewhat challenging, but we know that God is bigger. We are in the process (with the insurance company) of getting involved with a treatment in Chicago that has been shown to be very effective for young people with aggressive MS. So…could pray for strength to continue to do the work God has laid before us, and that God would do His thing, whatever that may be? Thanks brother. And take time to pray for yourself and your ministry (on behalf of me) that as you leverage culture for Christ, He would be glorified.

    Thanks

For the life-partner [husband] Christ has for me. In the current state of the nation and regime…and forever Christ has put a deep desire in me to model a Christ-like marriage. He’s also put in me a desire to help kids around the world through adoption and fostering (THANK YOU S. Truett Cathy and others like you!; the desire was put in place well before Angelina Jolie’s LOL True).

My wife is preparing for Gall Bladder Surgery, while trying to finish up the school year. She is a HS English Teacher. Much to grade and finals to give. Her system is down from the infection.

I, on the other hand, could use prayer as I continue speak the truth of Christ into the lives of our students at Agape Christian. God is moving! Students are getting saved each week. We are Baptizing each week. Tough part is that the student ministry is growing quicker than the church… finances and volunteers needed to sustain the growth!

prayer for God's direction in our career and life. I haven't been working for six months. Financially okay, but doors aren't opening. We are also thinking about moving to a place that has a lower cost of living. Pray that the Lord will show us what to do and where to go. We need revelation

Pray that I find a job soon. I am a new father and been unemployed for 4 months now. Our savings is dwindling and I am afraid we will not be able to stay afloat much longer. I feel abandoned by God right now – as if he's drug me out into the middle of the ocean in the middle of a storm and asked me to fend for myself. I am so lost.

Last year I quit a full-time job to go back to school to earn my MBA in Health Care Mgmt in hopes of working with senior adults & those in long term care. I am working part time right now, but am not able to get the hours I need to pay the bills. I need to find a full-time job in the health care industry so I can begin to use what I'm learning in my classes.

I feel selfish leaving this request, but I need prayer.
I am getting ready to graduate this saturday (finally) and am finishing up a big paper today and tomorrow. I have been stressing out about this for the last month. It has taken me a year and a half to finish this last class and I am almost there.
I am also in the midst of struggling with my job of teaching at a private school. Wanting to follow the doors that God is leading me through, but I am also wanting to kick through the wall to make new doors. I am struggling to hear the voice of God in a very noisy life that I live. Really confused as to where God is leading me and what he wants to use me for.

Thanks for the chance to vent/ask for help.

Please pray for my dad to truly know Jesus and be filled with His peace. Also, please pray for my husband, who works in the construction field, to get called back to work (he's been laid off since February). In that, we give God praise because he has provided abundantly for us! Also, please pray that my husband and I would have hearts to know Jesus more and would be filled with passion for something to make a difference in this world for Christ.

    Thanks for your prayers! =)

That the things they've seen would wreck them for the kingdom, changed by His Spirit and that the would be strengthened and renewed as the step back into their 'ordinary' lives. Several of them have been ill during the trip as well and there have been some issues of strife and frustration that need God's help too.

I have to serve others first, and I don't know how to mourn properly and trust fully at times… I need Jesus to hold me tight in this… I can do fine when I focus on others, but I want to heal correctly from all of this, handle the legal junk properly, and most of all glorify God in all my actions in this… no matter how it comes out…
