We live in a media driven culture where it's easy to get sucked in. Facebook/twitter/blog stalking/etc. I'm trying to do less tech. and tv also. we just canceled our cable and will go netflex/hulu for our viewing pleasure…i miss it already, but know it'll be a good change (I may regret typing that during next season of American Idol when I can't tune in)

TV might be it for me too, my wife and I don't have it on all the time, but we do watch a lot, and usually have our laptops open at the same time.

I'd have to say TV too – or at least the cost of cable. We just don't need it. If I can find a good indoor antenna (I live in an apartment) that will give us at least some local channels I think we might pull the plug for good.
