What was the last CD…
When was the last time you walked into an actual brick and mortar (Borders, Family Bookstores, ect.)store to buy a CD?
And what was the CD?

5 years ago when Mat Kearny dropped his first major album
Last October went into a Parable store to buy the Casting Crowns Christmas CD. Before that was technically "Canvas and Tentpole:" booth run by another Parable store at a Christian music festival. Bought Third Day's Revelation (saw them later that evening). Of course the Casting Crowns was the last CD I bought, though I've bought a few full album MP3 downloads since then.
tear down the walls -hillsong united
what store
I went to Meijer on my birthday (Feb. 17) to buy the new record from the Fray. Before that… would have to be last summer.
Cold Mountain soundtrack-Borders
Wal-Mart to get the new Dierks Bentley a couple months ago. So many good things are happening in that last sentence. =)
just bought Mat Kearney's newest cd at Best Buy. It was only $7.98… I still love to get the liner notes…
Me too
About two weeks ago, I bought the new Hillsong United, at Best Buy.
Wow, Your mother has not been to a store to buy a CD. I can't remember the last time. Love you Babe
Honestly? I can't even remember. That makes me a little sad. I've recently bought a DVD though… Slumdog Millionaire at Blockbuster. It was previously viewed. So… that makes me a little old school, right?
Do the Kids Bop 2009 CDs that came in the McDonald's Happy Meals count? If not, then I don't know if I could remember what it was…..Casting Crowns – maybe?
I have absolutely no idea… it has been at least 3 years. It was probably a CD by Greeley Estates because I was at their show in the store.
Pretty sure it was about four years ago, I bought Green Day's "International Superhits", what can I say? I was in high school…
Kirk Franklin at Mardel about a year ago. Before that was probably David Phelps CDs at his concert…does that count?
I think it was "Home" by the Dixie Chicks. I don't know where I bought it. Maybe Walmart. That would have to have been before they "fell"; I mean, did Walmart even keep carrying the Chicks after that?? I do know that when their next album came out, I got it off Rhapsody, not in a store. Not even sure I purchased it – just listened to it.
a few months ago, bought TMBG's "Here Come the 123's" for my son.
we've nearly memorized it back-and-forth from day care.
bought starfield's beauty in the broken, the first jenny lewis solo album, sufjan stevens' illinoise and edgar meyer & chris thile a couple months ago at borders. all 50% off. but yeah, mostly from amazon.com now!
Last year at a Wal Mart to buy a Michael Jackson greatest hits CD for Paul… I know, right?
Was in Borders about a month ago and they were reducing inventory – CDs marked at 40% off list or more. Bought Hillsong United – United We Stand DVD/CD combo for like 9 bucks….
Last visit to a "real" record store? Amoeba about 3 years ago…
I think it was Coldplay's X&Y. i wanted the packaging or else I wouldn't have bought it there. The only reason i will buy a CD at a "brick and mortar" store is for the packaging.
It was just over a year ago at Best Buy and found the only copy they had of Brooke Fraser's "Albertine."
=] love her
Can´t remember…. so it´s probably more that 5 years ago
Either the newest Taylor Swift or the newest Hannah Montanta… because my daughter was with me, and it was one of those impulse purchases.
I've ordered many online, but I'm pretty sure I have never "walked into a store" and bought one.
Last physical CD I bought was Hillsong's Saviour King in July 2007, but it wasn't at a store…it was at Hillsong conference.
Last CD I remember buying a store actually in New York – Aqualung's "Memory Man"
The last one bought in a store was Fee. That was in December '08.
Sorry…a Christian bookstore
Just last week. I bought the new Dave Matthews Band CD/DVD at Best Buy.
miles davis – kind of blue
gift for my dad's birthday – only 2 weeks ago.
arguably the greatest jazz album of all time
I think is was January of this year, it was Bruce Springsteen – 'Working on a Dream'
The last CD I bought at a store was Chris Tomlin's Hello Love in September of 2008. We pre-ordered at one of the Christian bookstores and got a credit with purchase… paid like $5 for it when it first came out. The last time that I intentionally drove to get a CD was Northpoint Live: Louder Than Creation. I drove to Northpoint on my lunch break to get it. That was December of 2007.
I would like to drive to Northpoint again to pick up the new Todd Fields, but have $84 credit on iTunes that I want to use up.
Jim Gaffigan's new album. He is a comic genius.
Yesterday at :connections to buy Todd Fields new CD
Last fall when Kings of Leon's "Only by the Night" was released. I think we bought Viva la Vida on the same trip.
I went to Best Buy in desperation last week before I went to see Hillsong United in Ocean Grove New Jersey, to buy their new album. But they didn't have the goods…
I didn't go to Wal-Mart with the express purpose of buying a CD, but about 3 mos ago I did purchase 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection – The Best Of Marvin Gaye, Vol.2 The 70's because it was only $6.
Last week – the new Gomez cd, vinyl – this past weekend Radiohead The Bends
Last month at Best Buy – Big Bad Voodoo Daddy!
Went and bought "Working on a Dream' by Springsteen along with Greatest Hits -The Allman Brothers – this was in January.
The answer to your REAL question?? No, Integrity shouldn't pay to produce a physical CD for your project
Mat Kearney will be the next CD I buy. I walked in to buy it but the store was sold out. Boo I say. Boo.
Hillsong "Saviour King" @ Lifeway store in Gulfport, MS
The last "real" cd I bought was Hillsong United's "United We Stand"
I went to wal-mart to get it.
the reason I bought the CD was because I wanted the DVD with it as well, but good ol wal mart did
not have that combination. Needless to say I was disappointed and have not stepped foot in that place again (not really, just haven't bought a CD in there since)
HILLSONG : Tear Down the Walls… Bought it directly at the concert in Orlando, not at a "store"
To be honest I think the last CD I walked into a music store to buy would have to be "Daughtry" by Chris Daughtry from Wal-Mart about 9 months ago. And before that? couldn't tell you. I buy all my music on itunes pretty much.
Hillsong United "This is our God". I still like to buy CD's to look at album art (on cover & inside)but downloading off itunes usually always wins.
2 weeks ago. Hillsong United.
It's been 4 or 5 years, i think. It was Wal Mart for DMB Under the Table and Dreaming.
Before that one, I haven't got a clue.
Bought Sojourn's "Isaac Watts Project" at the Advance 09 conference this weekend.
yesterday. the new Philip LaRue CD.
I go weekly.
Eminem – Relapse.
yeah – I know – how naughty and unchristian of me.
but dude can RHYME! and WRITE! and make me LAUGH!
My husband just bought Hillsong United's new c.d. and Sonicflood's new one at some tiny Christian bookstore in Thunder Bay Ontario.
No idea. Maybe for Christmas or something but its been a while.
No Line on the Horizon by U2. I went to Starbucks to buy it and get a cup of coffee. Does that count?
I just did at BC Connections store & bought Hillsong
It's for my brother when I go see him on Wednesday in Colorado!!! Can't wait!
2008 Family Christian, Third Day Revelation, coupon.
On Friday. I didn't go to Barnes & Noble with the intention of getting a CD, but I walked out with "Silly Songs With Larry."
Saturday… i bought the new Hillsong United album, Tear Down the Walls… and its freakin AWESOME!!!
Last weekend. Davis-Kidd Booksellers. Rufus Wainwright – Release the Stars.
About 4 weeks ago. Toby Mac — Remix of Diverse City. My kids and I love it and jam to it every morning on the way to preschool.
We bought it at Border's. It was on sale for 5 bux.
About a month ago … Kari Jobe's cd "Kari Jobe"
December at the onething conference in KC (http://www.ihop.org) where I bought Cory Asubry and Matt Gilman's "Holy" and Audra Lynn's "Fading"
Last week my 13 year old wanted an All American Rejects CD- he likes the "old school" of having the CD and the jacket. Plus he seems to have a knack for killing ipods.
For myself: in jan 2009, I bought a Thrid Day CD- at a Christian Book store!
Actually before the latest Hillsong United album, I have NO clue. However, since you're asking, it was just that, the latest United album a_CROSS//the_EARTH.
Listen and read a Review for each song here: http://vagabondrun.com
(sorry, I had to give props to my blog a bit here…it seemed to fit)
Do they still make those?
well, i bought my wife the taylor swift CD for Mother's Day, but before that it was sometime last year, and it was the Mudcrutch album… no, wait, it was Ryan Adams and the Cardinals' "cardinology."
yesterday. Joe Bonamassa "The Ballad of John Henry" only because it wasn't on iTunes
sunday when I went to a market shop and bought the best of A.H.Rahman (Slumdog soundtrack genius) and the Best of Bollywood. Yes I mean it. I don't even own an ipod. i'm surprised i even know how to leave a comment.
