This is how I feel today.
Today would be akin to opening your new restaurant and 5 hours before it opens, it floods.
Not everything is ruined. Just what touches the floor. ;)
Luckily, the gracious patrons of my restaurant are planning on eating for 4 months so we shall open next week.
That is the long way of saying that today was the launch of my Creative Coaching Network and my laptop crashed with all my curriculum on it at 2 am.

So I started over again this morning.  Luckily it’s all in my heart anyways.
An army of creatives with Christ as our center is forming.
And we won’t be stopped.
So when it hits the fan in your life, pick up your head, dust off, and sprint into battle.

I’m sure today will be a great introduction to a book someday.
What hit the fan in your life this week?
Los

No chance of recovery? Total hard drive melt down? Yikes. Been there. Makes you want to literally throw your laptop. Far. Repeated. And then something involving fire.

God took care of me! I got the things I needed to get done this week. Not much bad happened. Praise God! and I heard some awesome creative ideas from @loswhit and @flowerdust. It was cool.

Ummm…I said the very same thing as your post title last night when I miraculously wrote a post I wanted to marry…it was so stinkin' cute and in the zone–IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES, WHICH IS THE SECOND MIRACLE–and when I clicked save, it disappeared and I could not recover it nor the inspired muse.

Which pales in comparison to your situation, and now I'm thinking I need to confess the sin of my wicked, unbridled tongue, because proportionally speaking, your situation is considerably more cuss-worthy than mine.

Seriously…I feel your pain. And break a leg with your CCN, the name itself sounds fabulous :) .

The alternator in my husband’s car gave out. Big bucks to fix it. :-/
All I know is, God is in control.

Praying for a quick recovery/re-do of lost curriculum. Praying for next week's launch. Praying that your quick trip to see your wife & kids will be the refreshment you need to continue God's work.

I was hoping to come up with something clever to close with, but I got nothin'. So I'll just stick to praying for you. :)

You can ask me again tomorrow. If it hits, I'm expecting it today. :)

Or let me clarify. Should get a better idea today whether the restaurant I had planned and ready to go will do so, or be put on hold indefinitely. I guess it already hit. Just waiting to see what it looks like when it comes back down. ;)

Ouch, but luckily you have a relationship going, and you know God will come through. I would definitely like to maybe sign up for your Creative Coaching Network in the future. All the way from South Africa…

    Dead HDD = sad day.
Knowing God will take care of us anyway = happy day + joyful life – hating technology X can't live without technology + God invented technology – worrying about it

Well I may have you beat….for the past few months I have been working with a multi multi multi millionaire (who joined my fathers church a few years ago after getting saved and has a heart for ministry) to start an indie record label, my life goal and dream job. On top of that this same millionaire was working with my father to start a foundation that would help ministries and organizations around the world who are in financial need, my fathers dream job. On top of that this same millionaire was set to save the school that my brother in law is the headmaster of, maybe not his dream job but close. Needless to say this would have helped my family out tremendously (not to mention a lot of others) in a lot of different ways. I was set to move from Nashville to Maryland (where everything was to be based out of) which was exciting because that is where my family is and I just had my first child. There were many loops to jump through and i’s to be dotted but it was all set to be done last Tuesday morning (after months and months of work). …to be continued

On that particular Tuesday morning the Government froze all of this millionaires money and indicted him (but refuses to give him a specific reason why). So in one short morning we all lost our dream jobs and one of our families will lose their homes. Not to bring down the mood…..it was just too crazy of a story not to share. In the end, although extremely hard right now we are trying to trust God’s plan in all of this. (sorry this is long…..and this is just the cliff notes version!)

los I know it is tough but I for one am excited for you! When you are doing Kingdom work the enemy hates it and will come at you anyway he can. Our God is bigger.

My experience has been after a twelfth-hour fail, the second product is usually better! God will bless, have no fear!

My job. Though my boss is trying to make it right. Tuition is due, housing is due car and insurance and I am working 4.5 hours a week.

I know you're going to be able to get this up and running. God isn't going to let a messenger like the one he's found in you fall silent. I wish you luck and will be praying that you are going to be able to recreate it in all its original glory, though I'm sure it will ultimately be better.

    Take care and God bless.

you must be up to something REALLY GOOD that the enemy doesn't like to have your computer crash like that….keep going LOS, He is on your side.

Hagar (Genesis 21) lost everything over night. BAM! God said, "…do not be afraid." That's my advice. God is good, Los.

Hey, you should check out mozy backup. You can keep up to 2GB of data backed up for free to their datacenter, with an automated client that continually backs up changes. I use the free version and it's great, even when i saved over a document by accident and was able to restore an older version! some folks also like carbonite, but I've been using mozy for everything and still haven't used up my 2GB.

    anyway… just sayin
