Hillsong Live // Faith+Hope+Love

It’s actually ridiculous.
When Shout To The Lord came out years ago it was all we could do to contain ourselves before that key change at the end of the song.
I mean you would milk that bad boy.
You know it…
Your congregation knew it…
Darlene knew it…
I think Joel Houston was like 8 when that song came out.
And now he shares the stage with Darlene and Brooke and other ballers as they hit yet another live worship recording out of the park.
It’s seemed like forever now since Hillsong has all but taken over the musical worship world.
But I am ok with that.
Especially when they put out experiences like this one.
Faith+Hope+Love releases 08.04.09
That is a week from Wednesday people.
And if you want to hear AND SEE a track from the album, well you came to the right place.
I’m proud to present to you the World Premier Video of Brooke Fraser’s “I Will Exalt You” exclusively here at Ragamuffin Soul.

Yes.
Thickness.
A 7 minute gem of a song.
Preorder this badboy here.

It never gets old, these aussies and their tunes.
Los

Tomorrow, head to Tony’s blog for more Aussie love.

I really believe music speaks to and feeds the soul. Music is able to connect us to so many feelings and emotions and ultimately to our God. I think it's beautiful.

Music feeds my soul and fuels my life.

    Thanks for sharing this video.

Incredible. This is awesome. I really believe that their humble hearts lead to their success. Their music is selfless. It's performed from the heart instead of the mouth. They aren't confused worship leaders. They know they were made to worship not to be rockstars. Definitely blessed to have a team like this bring us music!

    • Shane 27 July 2009 at 8:47 pm #

ps-with the rockstars comment I'm not saying it's bad to get into your music and perform it well. I am referring to ego and attitude. It's not just a worship leader thing either. It's a human thing. Just wanted to clear that up.

I am digging the harder stuff from Reach Records and Resound but Hillsong's theology in their songs still cuts deep.

Thanks for the preview dude; I'm waiting for my copy to show up from AUS as we speak. As usual I'm just gobsmacked at the power of the worship tunes that Hillsong always come out with. All glory and honour and praise be to Almighty God. Kudos mate.

Joel's still got that Grizzly Adams beard going in this vid; I think he shaved for Conference 09… LOL Great stuff. Absolutely glorious praise and worship. Love me some Hillsong, that's for sure.

This may be my favorite track. I heard it this weekend – I was working out at the Hyatt in Kansas City – (not that I'm a real work-out kinda guy) and was doing the chest press machine, my iPod blaring along in my ears … and this song comes on. I'm laying on the bench – people are down there working out, running on treadmills, I find myself closing my eyes, laying back on that machine, lifting my hands – lost in worship. Wow.

whoah buddy, Brooke Fraser is a Kiwi, not an Aussie.
(i don't care, but my Kiwi friends would have a fit) :)

does anyone else have issues with the rotating header on here… I normally read via rss, so I don't notice it that often, but it makes the page jump up and down for me. I'm on windows/firefox.

And, just to be ultra confusing, Brooke is using her married name for her Hillsong work, and her maiden name for other work.

So that's Brooke Ligertwood for Hillsong, and Brooke Fraser for Sony. And she's Australian when she's Ligertwood, Kiwi when she's Fraser. And she has conversations with herself on Twitter that are hilarious.

    Just so you know.

As for this song, and the whole album…I'm loving it even more than when I did my own review a few weeks ago.

Sigh. Thank you so much…I really needed to hear that this morning. Sent my mom here to check it out too.

Between you and Tony I can just listen to the CD without purchasing it.
Let them know that I will happily host a video as well. I am sure they are looking for the next big blog community to make a major announcement or world premier of something. HA

Dude! I was there in Australia when Brooke recorded this – blew my mind. Such a great song with such a great message. Oh, and the Faith+Hope+Love DVD is insane – it was such an amazing night of worship…definitely get your hands on a copy!

This whole album is off the hook. I've had it for the past week or so and can't get enough. Yahweh is one of the sweetest worship anthems I've sung for at least the past year or so. Love it!

So when did Hillsong become United with special guests Darlene and Ruben and no Miriam? This is all the fault of Joel Houston who thinks he's a rock star I hate it. The only good thing is Brooke who is awsome but when you start pushing Darlene and Ruben into guest roles and get rid of Miriam Webster and Marty somethings wrong.

  30. Steve 8 August 2009 at 6:46 am #

Gotta be honest here… seemed like it was more the dreamy blue light, fog, and 5ths that made the song moving for me. Don't know how much of what I liked I would actually characterize as profound Worship… vs. ambience and experience…

    really? I don’t think so.
