A Situation involving an epic scale ignorance
I feel the hatred all around me.

That girl has more cojones than me
changing the "normal" makes the ignorant uncomfortable
so much beauty and so much hate
I'm the willing center of hateful attention.
Intensified hate strengthens the back of courage.
I feel:
A desire to step in and help.

…there is a picture of this African American woman and the woman screaming directly behind her in an embrace. it hangs up in the student union of Indiana University. it was taken only a few years ago. hate got lost in love.
