He died in the late 60's. Everybody called him "Da" as in Da da. I still listen to grown men who are well along in years refer to him in this way. Whenever anyone talks of him there is affection in their eyes. I would ask him "How do you transcend being a pastor and move to being earning the right to be called Da by men and women, young and old?" Honestly though I don't know if I want to know the answer.
