What I’m Doing

Posted on 20. Aug, 2009 by loswhit in Deep Stuff

So I’m not working at a church.
I almost don’t know what to do with that statement.
But people are asking me ALL the time what I am doing for a “living”.
I don’t really know how to answer that question.
So I normally say…”I’m a hustler baby.”
But for those of you who want to know the deets, here is what I’m doing LOTS of…
1. Recording my first project with Integrity Music and Jason Ingram.
2. Coaching 25 creatives a a month on creativity, workflow, and spirituality.
3. Working with the AMAZING team at Catalyst ideating and programming for Catalyst East Coast and Catalyst West Coast.
4. Leading worship at Buckhead Church, next week lifechurch.tv and YOUR CHURCH… email me and well set that up. ;)
info@ragamuffinsoul.com
5. Consulting with some amazing churches and organizations on programming, creativity, social media, and carpet color.
Some of the churches I’m working with the in the coming months are Seacoast Church, Courageous Church, and YOUR CHURCH. ;)

So yea. Those are sort of my buckets right now.
I also have this book in me.
Just can’t figure out how to get that out.
But looking at the list above, I should probably wait on that. ;)

Here’s to never typing those lame smiley winkey things again as I have so lamely done all over this post.

It’s awesome what you are doing, it takes balls, and a lot of faith, especially with a family, you should come see what my church in Ireland is like compared to what you are used to :p

I left a job earlier this year…have come to the horribly (and almost embarassingly) obvious conclusion that it’s not about WHAT you do, but WHO you are. If you focus on the WHO, then the WHAT follows. The WHAT on it’s own gets empty. Crazy respect to you for chasing the WHO…praying for you and your family.

Absolutely! You are not what you do. But what you do often shapes who you become.

I second the lame smiley face thing. ;)

So, estimated release date on that album yet? ;)

I LOVE seeing another Faith Barista "live" for a living. That hidden life in Christ will pay dividends for the seeds you're planting. And the benefits are out of this world. SO COOL you chose uncomfortable bliss, walking out on the faith plank!

Sinner in need of a Savior.
    Husband, father.
After that, ministry leadership life coach and worship leader.
It's fun to follow your work.
    God's peace.

did you get that book? The War of Art? I think if you had, you'd a blogged about it so I'm gonna say again, you need to read it. IT's amazing and I honestly think you would get a lot out of it…maybe one day you will be at Barnes and Nobel and say to yourself "I better get that 'War of Art' Book so that Carole Turner will quit bugging me about it. :-) Cool.
