A heck of a lot more hairspray!!
Plaid Flannel shirts and jackets. Grunge, baby!
I assume that his clothes are fluro in colour
Flannel everything and big puffy jackets… Slouch jeans and whatever fashion was about a year or two old in the US (that’s how long it took Australia to catch on ;o)
The only thing missing from this picture that I remember from those days is a poster of Ricky Henderson or Jose Canseco on the wall. Oh, and I would have been sitting on a bean bag chair.
my slap bracelet collection and a Hypercolor shirt. I was 9.
Mall Bangs.
All that mattered to me was RBI baseball!!! For real…i probably spent hundreds of dollars on that game at the local baseball card shop!
Hammer Pants!
My pogs collection.
And don’t forget my multi-colored slammers.
Crowded House and Indigo Girls cassette tapes
Jake — I agree that RBI Baseball was (and is) the greatest game ever. However, that appears to be Baseball Stars — a MUCH richer game experience, but with much worse gameplay. RBI forever!
aquanet hairspray! jk. all my friends used it, but i couldn’t! hehe what about BK’s (for those of us who couldn’t afford Nikes) and this picture took me RIGHT back! crazy.
Jessie Spano, and AC Slater singing “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” while Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski are breaking up… That was the worst day of my life.
jelly shoes.
Let’s see…I had normal pants not those. I listened to Stryper and Barren Cross not Mariah Carey. I had time to ride my bicycle with no TV game system. My biggest “had” not in the picture: a wife and 2 girls. Hmmm…don’t think I was missing anything.
Senior year of high school, busting moves with Young MC.
1990… my first year of seminary. we were destitute and subsisted off of ramen noodles for almost 2 years. nope, not a package of ramen in that pic…
are those zubaz pants?
Okay…so as an EIGHT year old ::cough:: NKOTB and skorts (yes skorts: skirts with shorts built in) were a part of my life… and a crush named Casey Callahan who had something to do with my process of going through my first communion in the Catholic church. He was in High School. Very cute. Totally unavailable.
Diapers. I was born in 1990.
Where’s the mondo computer tower with the 20 MB harddrive and 128 KB of RAM that will NEVER get full? Oh, what a great freshman year of high school that was!
The first thing I noticed was that the Nintendo game was NOT RBI baseball. After reading these comments, I have shed a few small tears with those who have already voiced their approval of the greatest baseball game for the original Nintendo ever created. The picture is also missing the life size poster of all 6′10″ of Randy Johnson in a Mariner’s team outfit.
where’s the Jello 1-2-3?
I for sure miss those pants, and I was young lol but seriously that pic is missing the cool shades. (weird to see them back now, ie Urban Outfitters, PacSun …you know the ones I’m talking bout, thick plastic framed)
My walkman!
Baseball Allstars!!! (which is in that picture) That was (and prolly still is) my favorite game ever made!!! Niicee.
This may simply be the best combination of picture and caption I have ever seen.
Mousse, gel, hairspray and a teasing comb.
Braces, slick back hair, and a preacher’s curl (aka the Gospel Hall Roll!)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
(turtle power)
My life included learning how to talk.
Still had my mullet in 1990. If I wasn’t bald I would grow it back today, loved that mullet.
