I have distinct memories of doing that very thing when I was a little girl. I felt welcome and safe. I am now almost 58 years old and just experienced the death of my precious dad, a man of tremendous passion for God and compassion for people. I am so glad I have many tender memories of having him for my dad. I believe that he gave me the invaluable gift of being able to easily feel cherished by my Heavenly Father. He creeps into my bed and at the moment I know that the world in all it's errors has peace and goodness. If nowhere else than in my quilted queen bed with that little baby who's tiny hands gut so perfectly into mine and his breath will always be sweet. Great post!!
