If you walked into your church gathering next week…
And could only sing one song…
What song would that be?

Your Love is Strong by Jon Foreman

  36. snyderguy 25 October 2009 at 7:20 pm #

Wow, that’s a tough one. There’s “All of the Way My Savior Leads Me” or “Be Thou My Vision” or “Joyful, Joyful” or “I Cannot Tell Why He Whom Angels Worship”.

If pressed, I’d probably choose “Be Thou My Vision,” only partly because I’m near-legally blind.

One of the best songs ever written. Summarizes Creatio Fall Redemption beautifully.

    “Revelation song”

  54. css 26 October 2009 at 12:16 am #

i’d go with ‘Amazing Grace (My chains are gone)’… Sang it yesterday @ church. Such a powerful song.

  57. Art Good 26 October 2009 at 3:21 am #

    I’ll go old school:

    Shout to the Lord

We actually sang this yesterday, and it rocked as usual.

  58. Tom 26 October 2009 at 3:50 am #

I know some others have already said it, but Fee’s “Everything Falls.”

  61. Tim 26 October 2009 at 5:12 am #

Since I’m the worsihp leader for our church, I already know…I’m most stoked about “Song of Hope” by Robbie Seay Band and “Free” the Newsboys version

  62. M@ Lewis 26 October 2009 at 5:44 am #

If I could have just one song it would be Beautiful Lord – Leeland. And that’s all I need. Beautiful Lord and Song of Hope (Robbie Seay Band). And that’s all I need. Just Beautiful Lord, Song of Hope and My Savior My God (aaron shust). That’s it. That’s all I need just Beautiful Lord, Song of Hope My Savior My God – that’s all I need. And Only You (DC*B). That’s all I need. Picking just one song is hard… like asking for only one good Steve Martin Movie.

Easily the best worship song released this year:

Led to the Slaughter by Red Letter

  81. Bethany 26 October 2009 at 8:44 am #

I’d want to sing something that told the gospel story. If we sang just about any song about Christ’s death & resurrection – I’d be good.

“How Great Thou Art” or “In Christ Alone” are favorites.

Blessed Assurance would be the song for today.

“This is My Story this is My Song. Praising my Savior all the day long.”

    That captures everything.

  94. Robert Gover 26 October 2009 at 9:25 am #

When it’s done right, not sure there is a more powerful song than “Revelation Song” – just imagining being at the throne of the Creator with the Angels singing “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty. Who was and is and is to come”. Catalyst Conference could have been over at that point (the second song) and I would have been OK with that! WOW!

I am also digging “Arms Open Wide” by Hillsong United, but if I have to pick just one, it’s Revelation Song.

one is too hard… How He Loves, Salvation Is Here, Lead Me To The Cross, or Living For You… or a good arrangement of How Great Thou Art. hm, I guess I didn’t answer the question very well.
