Great to see online church get that publicity… i know that my wife and I enjoy attending online once a week here in Australia, we even have a small group that attends with us, its a great way to have church with those that either cant attend or dont feel they fit ‘traditional’ church. Thanks for sharing!
I find it very cool that Online Churches are getting some positive media coverage. This TV coverage compliments the AP story from last week. Very cool..
I love being a member of Lifechurch.tv and serving at Church Online and talking and praying with people throughout the world. Although I attend one of the physical campuses, too; when I’m out of town, ill, or just want to share my church with people who are nowhere near a campus, they can go online and worship with me! I also have an online lifegroup and we have people in it from all over. And, one last thing, it is time for Christians to take over the Internet, Satan has been in control of it for far too long!
Jayson, I’m pretty sure they did a phone interview because it was done on a Sunday between actual live experiences where he was preaching. At least, that’s if I understand the timing correctly.
I’m so conflicted on this whole “online church” thing. I mean isn’t the church supposed to be a community? Isn’t it supposed to be a body of believers supporting, encouraging, loving, serving, pouring into, experiencing LIFE with one another? How can you do this all by yourself on the other side of the computer screen? Obviously God’s power can transcend limits and there are some people posting here about how they base their small group experience around it and that’s awesome. The conflict in my mind is more about the message that’s being sent. The message that says “you don’t have to be inconvenienced by GOING to church. We bring church to you!” I mean, community, sharing life, giving of yourself to the greater cause of the kingdom, these things take effort, blood, sweat, tears and pain and also reap amazing rewards and a is the true reflection of Christs life in us. It’s messy and inconvenient. But that’s the life that Christ led, and that’s the daily death he calls us too.
I was waiting for ragamuffinsoul.com to pop up there.
I think that should be your next tattoo, but on your forehead.
I am just kidding.
Cool stuff and glad people are exploring church online.
Not bragging, but this was my wife’s story. She works for HLN. Seems CNN loves high tech churches. She spoke with Greg Surratt as well about this story.
That totally rocks.
Great coverage!

What did they do to Craig’s head in the picture??? I swear, people, his head is not that fat…even though his ministry is huge.
