The Picture On The Fridge Became Human

Posted on 10. Nov, 2009 by loswhit in Compassion International

We sponsor our kids.
Try and remember to write.
Smile every once in a while when we walk by.
Try and tell our kids that they are real.
Until today.

It went from this…

6a00d8341cdb9853ef0120a626ab2b970b

To this…

They are as real as you and I.
And my kids now know.

Sponsor a child here and change a life…

HOW COOL WAS THAT!!!!!
Los
[that was the first time a Compasison sponsored child has ever met her extended "family" over the internet. amazing]

Beautiful! What I wouldn’t give to be able to hug our sponsored girl in Tanzania. But for now I will continue to pray and let our Lord do the hugging for me. :)

My wife and I have sponsored a young girl from Thailand for nearly 7 years now. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long! A few months ago we moved to Thailand to serve as missionaries meaning that us meeting our Compassion kid is VERY close! Thanks for sharing your experience. It brought smiles to both of our faces!

how adorable, “kisses” though the computer but nonetheless sincere. love that you all make compassion following as a family, it couldn’t go any other way.

Wow, that was awesome. The compassion moments have been messing me up lately man! First, the Catalyst reunion and now this. Makes me want to fly to Peru today and hug our Belinda!

By the way…was that a sneak peek of “Rain Down” as the soundtrack?

Great video. I did, however, try and move the cursor off of her face about three times before I registered the fact that it’s YOUR cursor. D’oh.

Very moving stuff, Carlos…our family just began to sponsor Bernardo, a 6 year old boy from Mozambique. My kids are so excited about it, and have committed part of their allowance for doing chores to his support, pray for him daily, and can’t wait to write him. To meet that child has to be an incredible blessing. Thanks for sharing your heart so creatively with all of us reading. (BTW, saw you in person at Story09….I thought you’d be taller! ;-) )

This is amazing….wish my boys were already home from school. They will love seeing this and it will make our Jasson much more real than a photo on the fridge.

What an amazing family you have.

Another tear-jerker…thanks…passing this on to the folks at my church. I showed them the COMPASSION moment from Catalyst and they nearly died. So this will solidify the fact that it’s legit! Much appreciated!

Amazing! Thank you for sharing such an intimate family moment with us. It makes this whole sponsorship family thing real. I’d love to meet in person my little girl who lives in Honduras. Maybe someday. Bless you and praying for you all on this trip.

How awesome! Our whole family had the great priviledge of meeting our Compassion son in Honduras last summer. It is so great for the kids and the sponsors to see each other in person. We are so blessed, because we will see him regularly as our daughter and son in law live there.
