Hands For Kate McRae
Tonight I asked those who came by the live prayer service to lay hands in front of their laptops and on the hearts of the McRae’s for little Kate.
It was an amazing night of prayer, song, scripture, and hope.
Keep praying for Kate and family and let’s not lose hope.
The image above is one I won’t soon forget.

i was there. the coolest things besides facebook and twitter(just joking of course) are probably just being able to worship when you arent in church and just sitting on your couch
by the way great song tonight!
I was! Top right corner actually…lol This was by far one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen the internet used for… Hands down!
I was there.
Every time I use Skype I’m amazed. It feels like I’m in a cartoon episode of THE JETSONS
I was there.
I still go back to this day and post http://www.ragamuffinsoul.com/2009/05/one-ragamuffins-view-of-the-prayer-service-last-night/
and remember the power and realizing what social media can be. The U2 concert brings up memories as well.
I just loved how tonight everyone was joining in together, all over the world, and were praying for a girl that we will never meet. I love the use of the hands symbolism and the use of technology to capture those images.
It can be a powerful thing when we join together, whether face to face or through social media.
I missed the live prayer service. Is there a way I can view it?
best use of the internet, ever.
It was so cool to see the power of God through His people. Better than any football game by far. Years from now I won’t remember who won the game but I will always remember Kate McRae.
SOOOO wanted to be there for it (rehearsal trumped). Kind of stayed up with it on twitter. What a powerful thing went on last night. Kind of blows me away! I believe that God smiled last night as HIS CHURCH joined together to intercede on the behalf of others.
I was definitely there last night.
I’m so proud to be a friend of yours Carlos. It’s so fun to watch God using you in profound ways. Thank you for playing your part in last night, you took us all to a new place.
I think the best thing I ever saw the Internet used for was Mark and Angie Lamberth. I was so moved by that whole situation and it inspired me and Promise to do whatever we could to rally prayer for Kate and the McRae’s as soon we learned of her diagnosis!
Anyways, the truth be told…you never know how what you’re doing will effect someone in a way you may not ever know. So to that I say, let’s live inspired and let’s go for God sized things even if we aren’t sure if they’ll work!
Much love brotha!!
Brian, way to lead the charge on this as well.
Good stuff last night.
Thanks for taking the time to put all that together…music, people, the room…good stuff.
