Praying And Giving To Haiti
I have never been to Haiti.
But when I was in Uganda with Compassion International I saw the hearts and process of this ministry and can say beyond measure that it is the most amazing ministry for the downtrodden I have been around.
They have a way you can help.
1. Pray for the staff and children.
2. Give.
* $35 helps provide a relief pack filled with enough food and water to sustain a family for one week.
* $70 gift helps care for their needs for two weeks.
* $105 helps provide relief packs filled with enough food and water to sustain two families for two weeks.
* $210 gift helps care for two families’ needs.
* $525 provides relief packs filled with enough food and water to sustain 10 families for two weeks.
* $1,050 gift cares for 10 families’ needs.
* $1,500 helps rebuild a home.
* $2,100 supplies 20 families with the basics for three weeks.

for real…joining you!!
thanks
Crying, praying, and singing a little Wyclef for Haiti tonight.
Sing
Constantly in prayer in the quiet and the unquiet moments! God Bless the people of Haiti, and those people rushing to their aid!
Amen
Los! I am so with you in praying. I wonder if if you might be willing to take prayer requests. I’ve posted this over at Anne’s site too. I hope that is ok but having the readership of both of you guys praying would be so awesome.
I have been working with the Chadasha Foundation out of Knoxville,TN for a few months. We were working on getting them a website and a place where folks could give online donations. As you might have guessed, that project just sky rocketed with importance.
I covet the prayers of readers from fellow Ragamuffins:
1.The Executive Director Chris is on his way down to Haiti this morning.
2.The small clinic built on the border of Haiti and the DR has already been sent 1,800 traumatized patients. Prayers for Dr. Marc has he tends and helps these folks would be great.
3.More friends are going down next week to do whatever they can.
4.I’ve been told to make the website happen and get it up and running. I’ve never done website or photo design before. As I get the website up this weekend, (I hope) I’ll come back and post more information.
It feels crushing – the hopelessness and poverty. I’m trying to busy myself with helping and keep faithing in the God who allows all things. I hope I can hold it all together and be a source of help. I hope this might encourage some who may be struggling. I hope mind blowing transformation happens for the people of Haiti. I hope God is glorified more completely in this situation than any other. I hope.
Praise God from who all blessings flow.
A fellow struggler,
Aaron
It’s criminal to ignore a neighbor in need, but compassion for the poor – what a blessing! Proverbs 14:21
Money and prayer, it’s the very least we can do.
It is the least.
I have heard nothing but great things about the work that Compassion International does. We may not think it sometimes, but most of us are extremely blessed. Money and prayer! You can definitely count me in!
for real Thanks Cliff!!!
praying brotha! this hit real close to home with me.
I’m in.
right on…
I’m in also. Thanks for the reminder
awesome. Thanks!
After a 2-1/2 year adoption process my wife and I travelled to Haiti in September and brought our daughter home. We are praying for our friends and the beautiful people of Haiti. We partner with you in sending financial support via http://www.compassion.com
Congrats Michael.
Thank you, Los. For speaking up for Compassion’s kids in Haiti.

Thank you.
I will definitely pray for my brothers and sisters around the world
thanks for praying. I’ll keep on!!!
Los, Nate and I spent time in Haiti last summer. We know Haiti and are heartbroken. It is similar to Uganda–just closer to US. Thanks for reminding people to pray and give. The people there are not just unreal pictures and statistics. They are as real as you and I.
yes they are.
I hope my earlier post did not come across as self serving. I love Compassion and certainly do not want to take away a single bit from what they are doing. I am trusting that my intentions came across. Trust me, there is plenty going on in Haiti for anyone to help. That covered, I thought I would follow up as promised.
A huge praise, our site in Jimani, DR has been chosen by the US Government as a base of medical relief operations. Currently we have 100 doctors and lots of supplies. A rotation of 30 doctors will come in later next week.
If any of you ragamuffins would like some more information about our ministry, we’ve got a website up at chadasha.org.
Thanks for praying and for all you stand for, Los!
