Small Things
My daughter found this inch worm and in a matter of 3 minutes named him “inchy”, fell in love, cried because he was lost, cried because she had to let him go, and prayed for him to be safe.
Sometimes it’s the small things we forget to give thanks for.
What is something small you are thankful for?
Los

Being encouraged by people around me…or walking down a hall at college and people acknowledging/saying hi to me. [Not the most outgoing type so it's encouraging to me!]

I’m always astounded when I think about the fact that my wife said “yes.” It may be more than a small thing, but I’ve made it small more than I’d like to admit.
That was a BIG thing
Grace. Its not small, but I take it for granted so often, and yet its the smallest acts of grace that saved me and raised me.
Amen… and alleluia!
I am thankful for people who are accepting of others. This isn’t small but it is on my mind. I saw one of my students make fun of another student for something trivial. I made me thing about how young we are when we start judging others instead of accepting them.
I love how the internet has brought the world to me! Over the past year, my life has been impacted by people all over the world! From all walks of life. People I’ll never meet, but feel as if we’ve been become old friends. Pen pals in the 21st century.
I am thankful for my night off and getting to be at home and play with my kids. Tomorrow I have the whole morning to play with them before I send them off to small group and I head into work. Doing a floor puzzle, playing playdoh, and giving them a bath are such small joys.
I am thankful for so many small things but my best ‘small’ thing is my 20 month old little boy. No matter what is going on, he shines sunshine!
My small group, that weekely time is what gets me thru the other 6 days..
Sweet tea…I am thankful for sweet tea…it is like my greatest comfort drink when I am having a bad day.
Cravin Melon said that on the 8th day God made sweet tea…I think they are right.
Amen
Highlighters…. yes, I know it’s kinda dorky, but I am so thankful for them…
…and silver tiaras… the big box of them that will placed on 80 teenage girls’ heads in 8 days at the Redeeming Purity Ball.
When I’m having a conversation with the girl I like and she smiles at me…
Any night I don’t have to make dinner
families who support families by providing meals and even firewood in tough times
3 things. My pocket journal, a pencil (still use those), and my pipe, when I need to think.
I’m grateful we have food in our refrigerator and pantry so when my kids claim they’re hungry I can feed them.
I am thankful for you. Your blog and tweets have helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life.
