Heather went to El Salvador for a week with Dan last month.
That’s him in the white shirt.
He has been trapped for the last 3 days in the ruins of Hotel Montana.
This is footage of him being rescued!!!

Hopefully that brings it home to some of you who have felt detached.
It did for me.
God Is Good…
Please Keep Praying For The Others Who Are Missing.
Amazing…

I can’t understand what they’re saying, but that is powerful stuff.

    Proof that prayer works, man.

What about the 6 million jews who prayed but were killed nonetheless? And the many others trapped in this same earthquake who prayed as fervently as this man no doubt did. To suggest that this rescue is proof that prayer works is a remarkable witness of the lack of basic 10 grade logic.

that’s awesome Los! So good and encouraging. We’re waiting for a couple of guys from our church who have been unaccounted for…Gene and Merle, who had arrived an hour before the quake. We’re hearing rumors that there may be some heavy equipment showing up on the scene to begin moving stuff out. Appreciate the prayers!

Wow…they’re not so different from us…but why are the French there before us? Where are the Americans working to free people?

The primary language is Haiti, is French. It is likely just their own media footage.

Carlos, keep some of my friends in prayer. There is an orphanage in Port-Au-Prince with two American woman and 150 children who are trying to get out of the country… They are living in their front yard because the house was destroyed, all of them are still alive, but they have newborn babies that are not going to make it much longer without someone helping them… They also have 40 children who were 1 signature away from being adopted! There was even a family here in the States who had their bags packed and leaving for Haiti in a matter of days to get their new adopted child, but the child is still stuck, alive, in Haiti… The people here who work with the orphanage are trying to get the two woman and 40 children who were being adopted special permission to come to the states immediately… Please pray for them, it is called BRESMA Orphanage, here is where you can hear of more updates… Thanks – http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=253060986318&ref=mf

Glad to report that Dan and his wife were in church last weekend (at Woodmen Valley Chapel, Colorado Springs.) After we recognized them, the worship time took on deeper meaning as we sang about God being the One who saves.

The Woodmen Valley Worship Arts team is interviewing him for airing at this weekend’s services. Will try to post a link after the weekend.

    _______________

Translation Of the video above from a french friend of mine.

starting with the part where the American is pulled out on the stretcher:

… And here is the 6th person to have been rescued out of the building. He has been trapped for 2 1’2 days in the elevator and he is letting us know that he is fine.

Behind him is the 5th man to have been pulled out, it is a Haitian, a hotel employee who just came out as well. Since the earthquake they haven’t stopped talking to each other without seeing each other, without knowing each other.
“I was praying, I said when I come out I will pray to God. That’s all I was saying.”
“Were you sure you would come out alive?”
    “Yes”
