So you will have a chance in some way, shape, or form, to hear all the songs in their entirety today. Be that by purchase or streaming on lala.com or some other service.
Knowing that there are 9 other songs I love and believe in coming in 90 days has me all wound up inside.
Can’t wait for you guys to hear…
We Will Dance, God of Second Chances, Grace Already Won, In Your Presence, I Can’t Start This Fight, Your Name, No Words, Because Of You, and Shine On.
Seriously I can’t wait.
But out of the 3 that got to tickle your ears today…
Which song is hitting you deeply and why?
Rain It Down, We Will Worship, or Jesus Saves?

    We Will Worship

Because its all about counteracting the comfort and culture all of us Christians find ourselves in. Ironically, its about letting go of the material (like buying EPs ;) ) and embracing a radical following of Jesus. We’re all way too comfortable…I need reminded of that. Thanks for the courage to do this Los.

      It’s a scary chorus to sing…But I imagine a true one

I Liked We will Worship The Best! I love the slow Worshipful songs That you can Soak in God’s Presence with :)

    • Silverluna 26 January 2010 at 2:28 pm #

I agree with Eric. I downloaded the pdf of your songs. And when I saw the words to We Will Worship, I was so amazed how true it is, and no one wants to point it out. Can’t wait to sing it in my church. :)

We will worship you…. is laying me out before the Father. Thank you!

we will worship you. save us from these comforts is spot on for me right now.

From the first time I heard “Rain Down,” back when you previewed the tracks, it stuck with me. That song echos what has been my prayer for so long. I’m desperate to see the Creator and I long for His love. I LOVE how the choruses explode with the guitars. I also like how you mention the Trinity in the chorus. The bass line is great. The tones on the guitars and drums are great. Your engineers, producers and mixers did a fine job. The song has hooks – on the verses and the chorus. Looking forward to hearing the rest.

    Jesus Saves
Need I say more? I love encouraging songs to remind me over and over Jesus Saves!

    • loswhit 26 January 2010 at 7:08 am #

So simple…So life changing. He does!!!!

  6. Jarrett 26 January 2010 at 6:56 am #

    So stoked for you Carlito.
Love the official EP. (not that ghetto boombox version we’ve had to put up with!)

Hand down my favorite cut is – Hard out here for a pimp.
    Love the melody on that.
Love that it made the EP.

    • loswhit 26 January 2010 at 7:09 am #

I thought it was “It’s hard out here for a hustla”

  7. Johnnystein 26 January 2010 at 6:58 am #

I would have to say the song that says “save us from our comforts” (“We Will Worship” I think). That line keeps repeating through my mind. I love my comforts, which is probably why it haunts me so. I definately could use to hear that in our Sunday worship, as it will likely be a part of my daily worship.

Looking forward to the rest with great anticipation.

God’s Best to you and yours!

Johnny. Gracias. and your little avatar makes me smile.

Carlos – I like Rain it Down best. Unbelievable. Your vocals have grown significantly since ‘Glory Bound’. By the way, the remaining members of Glory Bound fully expect a supporting role on your next tour. Wield your influence….

    Jesus Saves!
Its so simple but yet sometimes we forget. This is a song i hope to be singing in church for years to come. Its been awesome to be apart of this process through your blog thanks Carlos…

    • loswhit 26 January 2010 at 7:10 am #

      Thanks Jason for coming along.

  10. Kyle Reed 26 January 2010 at 7:04 am #

    Rain it Down
this was the first song I heard of yours and was immediately pulled in.
    The Bridge gets me everytime:
    “Come Lord were thirsty now,
Come Lord and Rain it down.”

Pretty much summarizes my prayer life.

  11. DJ ACRIS (Josh Wyatt) 26 January 2010 at 7:08 am #

I am partial to “Jesus Saves” only because I can hear the DJ in the background. I am also a fan of “Rain it Down” but since I am a DJ I kinda lean to … Wait a minute, I just heard scratching in “We Will Worship You”. OK now I have gone undecided. I can’t pick.

Would love to DJ for you sometime. I may try to make it to the Anderson Campus on Feb.7 at Newspring to check out the live version of @loshwit. I am doing load in for the Greenville Campus that day at 4am so we will see.

Great job on the EP and I can’t for for the LP. You are going to release it on Vinyl right???? hehe

    • loswhit 26 January 2010 at 7:11 am #

      4 AM!!!???

      • DJ ACRIS (Josh Wyatt) 26 January 2010 at 7:19 am #

Yeah man! Mobile church at its best. I am going to try and do the 4pm or 6pm in Anderson which is about 30 minutes away from Greenville. May do load in from 4am to 9am go home and nap then head to Anderson.

  12. Loralee 26 January 2010 at 7:14 am #

    Today: Rain Down.
This can change with where I find myself in life. But for today, it speaks my heart.

    • loswhit 26 January 2010 at 7:43 am #

It changes with me daily too.

  13. Annie 26 January 2010 at 7:15 am #

Rain It Down…. Hey, did you ever find Danny?

    • loswhit 26 January 2010 at 7:43 am #

      Not yet. Still looking!!!

  14. Faith 26 January 2010 at 7:15 am #

They all Rock but, my favorite is We Will Worship You. I Love the chorus. I think sometimes we need to step out or be pushed out of our comfort zone to be able to grow, learn & connect more deeply to our Savior. It’s in the uncomfortable seasons of life that we learn to place All our trust & fully rely on him & quit trying to do it on our own.

    • loswhit 26 January 2010 at 7:44 am #

As your name states…I need more of that

  15. Laura 26 January 2010 at 7:22 am #

I can’t pick one…but We Will Worship You makes me weep and dance all at the same time. Thanks for the breath of fresh air…I will fix my eyes on Him today.

  16. Clay 26 January 2010 at 7:39 am #

We Will Worship is my favorite. The lyrics make me uncomfortable, which would seem to be the point. We’re doing a worship night next month at our church and the theme is Uncomfortable. This song seems to line right up with that. All three of them are great and will probably find their way into our worship sets, but this one speaks to me right now.

  17. Emily 26 January 2010 at 7:39 am #

Right now? Jesus Saves. Was singing it in the car on the way to work this morning and my 2 1/2 year old kept saying “Sing it again, mama!”
    LOVE IT!

    • loswhit 26 January 2010 at 7:47 am #

That 2 year old knows whats up!!!

  18. Katie 26 January 2010 at 7:48 am #

Love the words of We Will Worship but Rain Down is the one that’s been in my head since I first heard any of them. It’s the one I could immediately walk away humming.

    • loswhit 26 January 2010 at 7:49 am #

      Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm away

  19. AJ 26 January 2010 at 7:50 am #

I Know!!! 3 weeks!!! NOOOOOOO. But the full length will launch same day i heard

  20. BrandiB 26 January 2010 at 8:49 am #

I love “We Will Worship”. A great reminder of us to question our current lives and to seek a life of God’s comforts and not the world’s.

  21. Brent 26 January 2010 at 8:54 am #

Not available in Canada!? What gives Los?

  22. Brent 26 January 2010 at 8:56 am #

Oops, should’ve read first. I guess there are a couple of sales waiting for you up north!

  23. Jason 26 January 2010 at 9:08 am #

I know this will seem like a cop-out dude but I’m lovin’ all three of the tracks. They’re all lifting my spirit on a hard, cold, dreary Nashville morning.

  24. Steven 26 January 2010 at 9:29 am #

I can’t stop playing Jesus Saves while cleaning house.

The song is so simple yet so profound.

    I love it!

  25. Evan 26 January 2010 at 9:43 am #

    Rain It Down.

  26. Matt 26 January 2010 at 10:06 am #

Gotta be “Rain Down” for two reasons. First, I think the whole concept of thirst is something that is relevant and just about anyone can relate to – that deep physical and emotional need to have something to quench your thirst. Second, the picture of rain falling down on someone is just an all emcompassing and overwhelming concept. Even if you go out in the rain and have an umbrella or raincoat on you still seem to get a little bit wet somewhere, but to stand in the rain without anything keeping you from getting rained on means you are going to get totally drenched – no way to stay dry!

  27. Stephanie 26 January 2010 at 10:28 am #

We Will Worship You, because I need that chorus in my heart every single day.

But Rain Down is always in my head, from the second time I heard it.

  28. Al Dancy 26 January 2010 at 10:48 am #

It’s a toss up between Rain It Down and Jesus Saves. I love how driving Rain It Down can be, but Jesus Saves has this anthemic feel to it! Like you can picture a crowd of people jumping and singing and dancing to Jesus Saves!

Oh man! I can’t wait to hear a full length. Keep it rockin for Jesus dude!

  29. Matt Beard 26 January 2010 at 11:06 am #

“We Will Worship You” made me think of these verses from Proverbs 30 today. What a life. “Spare us any joy that’s not of You…” Love it man. So good.

    7 “Two things I ask of you, O LORD;
do not refuse me before I die:

    8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.

9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, ‘Who is the LORD ?’
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.

  30. Chilly 26 January 2010 at 11:31 am #

    Carlos,
Dude – you’re such a gift to so many! Been following you for a long time and appreciated everything else you do – and now, a worship EP – so tight! Looking forward to sharing it w/ our people here in Detroit – it fits our style & heart.

    Praying for you & thankful…

Note: Rain It Down is my fav but love all three!

    Peace, Chilly

  31. Brandi 26 January 2010 at 11:44 am #

    we will worship.

its like the words you’ve been keeping on the tip of your tongue that you know you need to say but terrify you to actually let it rip. love that this song was released a time when, by the grace of God, i’m ready to sing it!

  32. bryan 26 January 2010 at 11:46 am #

    Carlos,
    Jesus Saves.
Saw you perform it here in Pittsburgh @northpoint.
    Great Song.
    Two words…
    Amen, to those two words.
    Keep up the great work.
Can’t wait to get the LP.

  33. Jason Gordon 26 January 2010 at 11:47 am #

    We Will Worship You…

God is challenging me with the question – Would I be ok with following Him if I wasn’t an American and so comfortable? Thanks for the reminder to let go of comfort…

  34. Bianca Juarez 26 January 2010 at 11:53 am #

    Rain down!

I’m blaring it from my car… you know, so people can hear you ;)

  35. Rhys Lake 26 January 2010 at 12:19 pm #

    Hey Carlos,

I’m from New Zealand and can’t get access to Lala or the US iTunes to hear any of the songs. Any idea on how I can get a listen or when it might be on iTunes New Zealand?

From the clips I’ve heard the songs are nuts, the EPK was so sweet too!

  36. Greg 26 January 2010 at 12:38 pm #

Finally found open wifi to dl the EP to my iPod Touch!

    We Will Worship!

I just love the way it opens – vulnerable and open – the way we should be.

  37. jenn collins 26 January 2010 at 12:40 pm #

so i haven’t commented in like 2 years but i have still read your blog (my old blog was jenncollins.wordpress.com). anyway, i just bought the EP. it’s really awesome. thanks for living your dream and challenging the rest of us.

    We Will Worship You

“All we have to lose is our souls” A small price for all my transgressions.

And a great reminder “Break us of our need for the familiar”! Those scary steps of faith.

    Rock on, Carlos.

  39. Christopher Hopper 26 January 2010 at 1:12 pm #

Finally showed iTunes some love. Was twitching in my staff meetings just to get here. Jamming on the ride home, feedback tomorrow. ch:

    We Will Worship

Save us from these comforts, Break us of our need for the famiiiar, Spare us from any joy that’s not of you, and we will worship you

All we have to lose is our souls

All of these wonderful lyrics (I may not have them down exactly right). I have been needing new music, and have played this at all day… love, love it!

  41. kamrie 26 January 2010 at 1:28 pm #

I loved all of them, but the one that really made me have to belt it out was Raind It Down. I stood outside this morning waiting for my bus and listened to this song. I knew God was there with me and was raining/snowing down some blessings it was an amazing moment where I just connected with God. I can’t really describe it.

  42. Jenn 26 January 2010 at 1:32 pm #

I’m going to have wait three weeks! That’s it, I’m immigrating to the U.S.!!

    Jesus Saves

The bridge kills me every time…

“I was dying, You came for me.”

  44. Aaron 26 January 2010 at 3:14 pm #

We Will Worship You: a message we all need. What do I trust in, my God, or my comfort? There’s an idol that doesn’t get a lot of attention. Releasing that one opens up a new dimension of worship for me.

    Thanks Los.

  45. josh 26 January 2010 at 3:51 pm #

my favorite is rain it down, because it matches what i am praying for myself and the youth group I am involved in.

  46. Jamey Ketchum 26 January 2010 at 3:58 pm #

    Hey Carlos,

All of them are awesome, however I like Rain Down the best. I’m just looking for some chord sheets so we can give some worship to God here in Colorado!!

Have Fun and Thanks for all you do!

    Jesus Saves…
dude, can you say, “#1 on itunes”?
    Great job los.

  50. Jay 26 January 2010 at 7:17 pm #

Easy. “Rain It Down.” It’s just something I need right now. I’ve written before about my mother’s battle with colon cancer and how in the midst of that tragedy I rejoiced in that she came to be a Christ follower.

Well, on January 24th, 2010 at 6:00am, my mother, Christine Caruso, went home to be with Jesus. My emotions have been on a roller coaster ride the last few days. There’s laughter. Then tears. Then more laughter. Then more tears. I have the comfort of knowing that she’s in heaven with a glorified body. She’s no longer experiencing pain. No longer suffering. She’s walking on streets of gold. But I still miss her dearly. So during those periods of hurt and tears, I need the Father, the Spirit and Jesus to rain down on me. I know that is happening and that is additional comfort.

    Thank you for that Carlos.

  51. ryan guard 26 January 2010 at 10:07 pm #

wow. loved it. can’t wait to sing these in my church.

  52. Lori Jo 26 January 2010 at 11:53 pm #

we will worship. love it the mostest. bc…i love the lyrics, love the tempo, love the melody, love verse two, the chorus. all of it. love the whole thing. xoxo the other songs are great too, but this one gets repeated more :D

  53. LisaJones 27 January 2010 at 4:44 am #

RAIN IT DOWN! They are all great but that is my(and my kids) favorite. My first time posting but I read your and your wife’s blogs….God Bless You and your family!

  54. John Harvey 27 January 2010 at 6:54 am #

I played “Rain it Down” last night for my 16 year old singer songwriter daughter and my wife. Both were immediately blown away with the concept that some will receive and some won’t. Powerful, sad and hopeful all at the same time. God’s grace is available for those who receive.

  55. Rod Kesselring 27 January 2010 at 12:00 pm #

    We Will Worship You.

The chorus scares me!!! I need to be scared to declare my dependence on His joy alone.

    Thank You!!

Are you going to make leadsheets available for the songs. I want our team to start working on We will Worship You.

  56. jen 27 January 2010 at 1:03 pm #

since Losiah’s little jam session on Rain Down…when we hear your voice, we cant help but to hear his. This is a beautiful reminder that when we hear a great song…it should draw us to our Father. So when we hear Carlos, we hear God speaking truth to us! Thanks and we are so excited for you and H as God continues to lead and ya’ll continue in obedience! SWEET.

  57. Brad Hamner 27 January 2010 at 9:33 pm #

Only got a chance to listen to it while putting slides together for this week. I’ll have to have a good sit down soon. “Rain It Down” hits me the most right at first cause I love the music and it speaks of all three persons of the Trinity- something we won’t understand in this life and often forget about…by the way there’s a great book called Forgotten God everyone should read. God is using you in a mighty way. I pray that we are all open for God to use us for HIS GLORY!

  58. Ash 28 January 2010 at 3:20 pm #

    Rain it Down
John 7 v 37-39 “If any of you is thirsty, come to me and drink. If you believe in me, rivers of living water will flow from within you.”
Jesus was referring to the realities of life in the Spirit made available to everyone who believes in him.

Jesus offered us life to the fullest. I want to be so full of God’s Spirit that I overflow.

Love the song. Especially the tag at the end. It sounds effortless. Great! =]
