Worship Leading 101 // How To Train Up A Rookie Worship Leader
Every morning Losiah waked up singing…
Take my life and let it be, all for You and for Your glory
Take my life and let it be Yours!!!
Now look. My good friends Steve and Vicky wrote that song. WE ALL KNOW IT IS A KILLER bridge.
But a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.
I got to get the marketing machine that is my 3 year old to sing my song not Fee’s.
The kids at the preschool are gonna be all about that tall skinny white worship guy and not the tubby, brown, Mexican.
So I taught Losiah my song Rain It Down tonight.
I led worship in front of close to 6000 people yesterday…
It was amazing…
But this…
This is leading worship.
Los

that definitely put a smile on my face, thanks for sharing los.
You are WELCOME
Awesome Los. Really great job
Thanks Ryan!!!
That was awesome.
Was that a whoopsies?! Who hit the wrong chord?!
Thanks for sharing!!!
The screen went dark. LOL
He should lead his preschool class in worship for show & tell. He’s already got his picture on the album cover.
For real.
I love that look in his eyes while he’s singing with his daddy.
And that grin! He adores you.
Heck. After seeing this….
I want Losiah to sign a copy of the album for me next week.
Ha. He Will!!!!
Bring it. I would love it!!!!!
oh my goshhhhh!!! this is cuteness at it’s best!! seriously. when you make it big and want to hire a full time nanny will you pretty please call me? i haven’t met your kids but i already love them!
Well then… They love you too.
Your little dude is adorable, man! And FEARLESS! Watch out world!
Thanks for sharing!
EWatch out world is right!
that was so dear! way to be intentional about training your children.
Just like those sheep at church.
That might be better than the original
I agree
Very cool.
Thanks man.
You have definitely got to take him on tour! He’ll steal the show!
Um. Yes he will.
Losiah…You Rock!! Smart move putting him on the cover.
Yea. He IS THE SHOW!!!
absolutely priceless.
Actually, he cost about 22k. HA!!! Just kidding. He totally is.
What guitar are you playing? does not look like the Taylor. When you were leaving Cali, you mentioned a new guitar, I have not heard anymore about that.
What’s the story? (sorry to be nosey, I just love me some guitars)
It’s a 1992 Seagull. AMAZING sound. And the story behind the guitar is coming soon on the blog. Yes. That is the one.
he’s adorable and cool at the same time. love the way he looks at you.
He thinks I’m the cat’s pajamas.
Dude, send him to Winston, we’ll give him some hands on experience! What a great daddy moment!
He is 12k a show.
had to grab some ice for my face, ’cause Little Los just melted it off!!=Sso cool! I’m trainin’ up my lil worshipers too. It’s one thing to blaze a trail… but how cool is it to look over our shoulder and see a procession of the next generation of lovers of God – ones who carry our names and resemblances and lift the Name above all Names?!
“All of my children are taught of the Lord, and great is their peace” – Isaiah 54:13
Wow. Thanks man. And I LOVE BLEED WORSHIP. Great blog title!
I appreciate that, bro! I just created the blog this week and will probably start it next week… it’s been a dream for a while and now it’s time to get the bricks and mortar and let God do His work… blessings atcha…
yep great blog title… we need to keep in touch that title alone is worth a link on my blogroll. let me know when you get it started.
thanks jason! I’d be most humbled and honored check back in a few days or I’ll find a way to let you know when my first post is up… gonna go check yours out now
grace and peace!
eeeeeh! he’s so cute and passionate when he sings the “RAAAIIIIN” part.
truly, you are doing your part to teach Losiah up in the way he should go, surely he’ll never depart from it.
Thanks friend. Let’s hang soon!
That is awesome.
That was so sweet. I love his sweet voice and he just adores you. I know you are so proud of him
hah! dude your little dude is so awesome!
My kiddos love the songs I write…it is surprising that they pick up the lyrics so easily! There is no better fan than your fam!
BTW you don’t happen to know Sheri Carr do you? She is down there in Hotlanta… another awesome worship leader there.
That’s awesome, love it!!
This is SOOOOOO awesome!!!!
Really looking forward to your album, that is if it will be available in sunny South Africa.
It Will!!!
Ditto what everyone above has said.
Talk about kids singing songs… my kids will just start randomly singing “One Jah, One Creator, Yes and one Father…. ” (except they do it with the cool reggae accent). They even put the “budabuy budabuy” (or however you spell that) in there! They sing the whole song… just as it is on the video!
It’s AWESOME!
HAHAHAHA
That was great Los (& Little Los). I have a little boy, a year and a half (and another on the way). I already cherish that look from my little guy, no better feeling, as looks go!
BTW, heard it on satellite radio this morning, driving back from JFK. Looking forward to the 26th Los. Will it be available immediately on iTunes?
That is so cute! That made me and my friend Stasia smile big at work today!
Long time lurker, first time poster. Lil dude is awesome, got a great example to look up to. Mine started bangin drums at 6…this is him at 10 now.

Praying he uses his talent for the Lord one day. Love your take on our everyday walk with God, appreciate it.
being a parent, leaving a legacy of faith..wow what a cool purpose for our lives!
Read your blog for awhile, but never commented. Great video! Thanks for sharing…
Taking a chance to see if you would answer a worship/programming question. I’m a church planter – we’re 2 yrs old. I love starting our main Sunday morn gatherings with a high energy, hair on fire song. Some of our team prefers the first song to be a mid tempo “on-ramp” type song for those just waking up (so to speak). We def have Sunday’s where we mix it up, but as a general rule…what are your thoughts? Thanks for any insight you could give, and it’s cool if you if you ignore me altogether!
Much love,
Randy
I am so stoked for that album to drop man!
I loved it you guys should definately sing a song together on your next cd
our 3 year-old, brewer, considered “glory to god” his favorite song in the world!
love seeing losiah worship!
Saw this on your wife’s blog. Love it! I love seeing kids worship. And so NOW i know what to do if I decide to try out songwriting again….teach my godson! I knew there was a reason I agreed to be his godmother.
Seriously though, this made me smile, and really cool to see Daddy & son worshipping God and having fun together with it.
Slightly off-topic, but yes to the Canadian flag in the background.
There’s nothing more beautiful then seeing a son wanting to be like thier daddy. Really, Really, Really Sweet!!!!
Los, I don’t think I’ve ever heard your song in its entirety… but just from the chorus, it sounds like it might do good in a medley with Misty Edwards’ “My Soul Longs For You.” One of the repeated lines is “I believe You will come like the rain.” It then goes into repeating “Let it rain!” Just a thought.
