I have said it before, this is definitely my favorite song. Now that I have heard the story behind the song it makes it even better.
I hate rain, but starting to think that I have been running from the storm to long.
Rain it down Lord.
Wow that is exactly how I felt at the bus stop the other day. It was snowing and I was freezing my butt off and my bus driver was late, but I just realized God there and him refreshing me. I was somehow ready to tackle this day. It was awesome!
Love it. Thank you for the explanation. Love the metaphor of the storm and the idea that we don’t always have to run away from it. Sometimes, as Christians, we’re called to run to it.
I also like this idea that the storm isn’t always a bad thing. Maybe the storm is just something different, a change. We should embrace change in our lives if that change is of God’s will.
thanks man.
I remember my years as a teenager in Durban – South Africa – where it rained in the Summer and it was warm enough to just walk while the rain poured on down. Even when walking from school. Loved it. It was refreshing indeed.
So I was just listening to Delirious one night and I got this idea out of nowhere!
Or Crowder, or BEeching, or Redman, or Granger or, o Wait a second…There ar e25 songs I found!!!
Does God want us to run toward the storm?
I agree, sometimes the hard answer is yes.
Good reminder Los. Thanks.
This song is really growing on me… Used it in my pre-service lineup today. You are totally right about the bridge! It gets my attention every time.
(and it is a totally different song from Delirious…)
