You Roll Your Eyes At Me – Fatherhood

Easter1

You roll your eyes at me.
You roll your eyes at me.
You roll your eyes at me.
I still can’t believe that baby who would suck on my nose when I’d stick it in her mouth and laugh when I would fart on her tummy rolls her eyes at me.
You roll your eyes at me.
Like seriously…you roll your eyes at me.
Tonight, when I told you to go tell your mom you were sorry, you rolled your eyes at me.
I just sat there with my mouth open.
You are 6 and already have more sass in your neck roll than Star Jones on her best day.
And you know what?
I love knowing that some guy, some day, is gonna be crushed by that eye roll and neck roll in .6 seconds flat.
Then you’ll call me and I’ll finish him.
And thanks for finishing me when you look at me like you do in this pic.

yep, those eyes would do it for me. I have been through 2 of those and look at it this way Carlos: you got quite a few more years of rolling eyes and “the look.” :) Happy trails!!

What do you use to edit your photo’s? They always have a warm look to them. I am trying to get great pics like these but seem to screw it up all the time.

Also what are some of your favorite settings on your camera and what camera do you use?

    I use a Nikon D60.

    Any info would be appreciated.

OK call me stupid. I realized after I submitted the comment I could go to Flickr and see the details.

BUT, if you have any hints, tips or tricks of photog stuff. I would love to hear it.

My 22-month-old daughter tilts her head, rubs my belly where her new brother or sister is baking, puckers up and gives it a big smooch. Finishes me every time.

Or when my 11-yr.-old son hugs me and says, “I forgive you,” every time I apologize to him for something stupid I’ve said or done.

Or when my 12-year-old son gets mad at me on the way to wrestling practice and then farts in the car (on a freezing cold Kansas night, mind you) right as he gets out of the car. Great times!

Cool Baby does not know the eye roll, though he has been king of ‘Speak to the Hand’ for several months now.

Love it! My 22 month old does the same thing to me!

God help us! My 4 and 7 year old daughters do it to me too! Sometimes it’s so hard when you just want to laugh at them to turn your head so they don’t see you smiling :-) They are so very serious after all!

At least she hasn’t learned how to blow snot rockets into the sink-my brother just taught my sweet, beautiful 8 year old daughter to do that. And her new thing? insisting that the “toothpaste people MUST be wrong. there’s NO WAY you HAVE to brush your teeth TWICE a day!”

Buckle up my friend. The sass gets thicker every day.

tonight, i asked her what Jesus would say about her attitude. she agreed he probably wouldn’t like it too much.

but i bet he’d get a kick out of the snot rockets!

Funny how a young child’s eye roll isn’t nearly as infuriating or strategic as a fifteen year old’s.

    what he said^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

even though mine are 17 and 18, they still own me. even if the eye rolls have changed.
