There is no better picture I could find to describe my wife and 3 kids.
Heather the photogenic machine.
Seanna the forced smiler.
Sohaila the “one shining moment” girl.
Losiah the…um…well…terror.
Which child were you?

The kid on the left?
The kid on the right?
The kid in the middle?

Kid on the left, most definitely!

  2. Lana 26 June 2010 at 3:59 pm #

…but I wanted to be the kid in the middle! (Ohhhhhh, I got the first comment! Now I feel like the kid in the middle!)

Depending on my mood, either the camera shy one or the “one shining moment”

  4. Amanda Mae 26 June 2010 at 4:09 pm #

    Left. Absolutely.

  5. Natalie 26 June 2010 at 4:16 pm #

The terror. I think I still am.

  6. Kyle Reed 26 June 2010 at 5:29 pm #

I am like your daughter in the middle.

I was the kid (still adult) who doesn’t smile enough. I’m not sad, I think it just takes a lot to make me show happy gushy emotions. I smile better likes this —> :-)

    I’m definitely most like Seanna!

I was like the child in the middle. Who’s like the lady almost running into Heather?!

Just call me big Losiah, without a doubt :D .

The middle one, I was also the actual middle child.

I was the left kid. Memories of my father as we toured Washington DC making us pose for pictures in the blazing heat…that would be back (way back) in the days of polaroid cameras…..ahh, the wonder of seeing the picture “instantly” in black and white no less, when the plastic film was pulled away!

One on the left, wanted to be the one in the middle…

Forced smiler, and still am! There are almost no ‘natural smile’ pictures of me in existence.

The one on the left when I was a kid. My sister was the middle. Still kinda is that way, I grew into my smile a bit tho… ;-)

as a kid, I was the “one shining moment” kid. Now I’ve become the “forced smiler”

    Go figure.

However, I have NEVER been a photogenic machine. (that is what I always wanted to be though!)

I was totally the forced smiler… now I smile all the time! GOD IS GOOD! :)

Sorry, don’t really identify with any of those. I was the quiet compliant one. You need a fourth kid. Break it to Heather gently. ;)

I was SO totally the kid in the middle. And so is my daughter. (I often fear for her. ;) )

  20. kennyd 28 June 2010 at 12:27 am #

I was the one with the camera…

  21. Dale Best 28 June 2010 at 2:26 am #

Most definitley the kid on the left … yeah.

  22. Pearmama 28 June 2010 at 2:43 am #

Neither. I am photogenic like Heather. :)

Oh, those third children, LORD HELP US. I have taken to calling my 4YO “Adrenaline.”

I was the forced smiler. hahaha! I always had a fake smile in all my photos when I was a kid. I honestly did not know how to smile if there’s nothing funny to smile or laugh about. So my mom would just always say “Just show your dimples.” So a fake smile with dimples it was.

But now, I’m the shining moment kind of woman. Theater did me some good. :-p

Like your wife. I LOVED taking pictures (and still do).

  26. JV 29 June 2010 at 4:17 pm #

    Kid in the middle!

  27. Jeri 29 June 2010 at 10:49 pm #

Forced smiler, in pictures and life. I was the oldest in a big, religious family. Everything was about appearances. Everyone expected me to be the good Christian girl. So I smiled, even when my heart was breaking. I smiled, even when I realized the religion I’d grown up with was empty. Sometimes I smile for my baby siblings, sometimes I smile for the countless people watching me. One day I’ll go off to college, and be able to worship how I want to, to weep when I need to, and to be real. But for now . . . I just keep smiling.

I was the “wave at the camera” child… which automatically meant that my hand was in front of my face in a lot of pictures. My mom “loves” those pictures!

The one in the middle. Plus an open smile. The sort of surprised look ya dig?
