Who Did You Sleep With?
HAHAHAHA.
I’m not gonna lie.
I love the title of this post.
Losiah sleeps with his “tig” every night.
Sohaila sleeps with her “piggy” every night.
Seanna sleeps with her “Shamu” every night.
I get to sleep with my “Heather” every night. Oh wait. We are talking about being a kid here.
In that case I slept with Kermit when I was their age.
Man that just feels sketchy to type.
It was the one with velcro hands and I would wrap his skinny arms around my neck.
How about you?
Who was your stuffed comforter while you still dreamed of Legos and Strawberry Shortcake?
Los

Mine was Barney and a yellow blanket!! HAHA!
my monchichi monkey =]
Me too! I loved my little Monchichi. Even when his hair fell off and he was a bald Monchichi.
I slept with my ALF stuffed animal.
A little baby blue puppy named Panny.
A stuffed penguin named Opus. He had a bowtie. When I was a kid it was awesome. When I was in middle school, I found out it was based on a hilarious newspaper comic Bloom County, which made it even more awesome.
a fluffy white cat named “Ivan”.
I had that same Kermit – in fact I still have it! It is on my Son’s shelf now in his room.
I had a Snoopy doll that was a gift from another boy after our house burned down. Still have that toy at my parents house. It’s in no shape to be played with anymore.
i still dream of legos and i sleep alone.
but back then it was a stuffed dog named brownie.
Teddy Ruxpin. He wasn’t very comfortable considering he doubled as a cassette player.
My sister had onne of those… I hated him, he creeped me out so I broke his mouth lol
I had a pillow pal. Remember those??
No one I talk to can seem to remember them at all. I wish they had something like that for kids now. My son now just sleeps with a giant nemo.
So Ive been trying to find a picture and I cant find one anywhere. It was a little girl who was rectangle shaped with short little arms and legs and blond pigtails. I cant be the only one who remembers these.
My brother had one of those stuffed WWE (at the time WWF) stuffed wrestler dolls. He wouldnt sleep without his “hulka” (hulk hogan) doll.
I totally remember Teddy Ruxpin too. I had one of those and his pal Grubby.
Didn’t DJ & Stephanie have them on the show Full House?
I had one that was pink with blond braids. I also had a popples. Do you remember those?
I totally had a macho man randy savage one. he lost a nose during our tussles
I remember those. We had two. One was a tiger and the other was a hippo.
I had a stuffed Rajah, from the Aladdin movie.
I had a Wuzzle and a blankie. Remember Wuzzle’s? They were two animals mixed together and came with books. Yah. That was weird. Wuzzle’s are gone, but not the blankie!! You may or may not find it under my pillow….
This makes me laugh. I stole my brother’s Bionic Man action figure and slept with it, not so much for comfort, but because I didn’t want him to find it! he made a better “ken” for my barbie!
YYEESSS!!! Ken is too much of a girl. I feel like if were going to let young girls play with unrealistic examples of women we should at least make the unrealistic men uber manly
I STILL sleep with Gregory Peck my stuffed ostrich animal… uh yeah… I’m a 27 year old med student, but I live across the Pond at the moment, and he makes me feel less lonely is all!
I slept with Love-a-Lot the pink Care Bear. She’s almost flat now, her nose has the color rubbed off, and there’s a line of stitches on her snout holding her together.
me too! My 5 yr. old daughter has it now and says she it is no fun to sleep with. I was shocked!
Garfield was beside me all the time.
winnie the pooh. my daughter ella has him now.
A brown bear with sprung arms so he would hug you… I called him “Huggy Bear”. Must’ve picked it up off the TV when I was little
I still have him somewhere.
Gizmo…Ya know, Gremlins Gizmo?? Bye bye Billy?
Eeyore
Mine was a magic nursery baby. she had this weird growth of hair right in the middle of her head and I would twirl it in my sleep.
I had a few and they always seemed to be bears.
I had one that was called Berry Hill or something like that.
And then I had a John 3:16 bear.
And now (yes, I still sleep with one) I have one I made several years ago at Teddy Crafters. It actually needs to be stitched up because it’s falling apart.
A small brown stuffed dog. What’s funny about him is that unlike most stuff dogs he isn’t a “happy” dog. He’s kinda sad looking. But He is my favorite.
Also, at 23 i still sleep with him. That’s ok though since I’m an unmarried female….. totally socially acceptable…. right?
Pooh Bear. i got him when I was 3 and I kept him by my bedside until I got married. My wife said he couldn’t stay with me any more.
Waldo the Walrus he was a gift from my late great grandmother when I was born. He still resides on a shelf in my closet.
Blankie. Sleep with it every night. Still. I’m 24. No shame!
a little stuffed monkey named “baby monkey”.
A huge brown bear the size of a toddler.
Flat Stanley! A teddy bear that I must have literally slept on because before too long he was really, really skinny.
btw, I named him Flat Stanley before that other Flat Stanley became popular.
um, i still sleep with my Eeyore. And my husband. But Eeyore is in the middle. yup.
My teddy bear boo boo. As a single mom sometimes on those rough nights I still sleep with him.
Really OLD bear.
My stuffed monkey Jock-o he had velcro hands and feet so you could hang him just about anywhere. I also had a blue blankey
a large stuffed frog with a big orange bellie. I still have him, my mom has his “brother”… they were kinda our family mascots… He sits on a shelf in my bedroom now, after my cocker spaniel decided his eyes were tasty…
I slept with balls when I was younger. Baseballs, basketballs, footballs, bouncy balls…you name it. I played with balls a lot and pretended I was a famous athlete and then took the balls to bed with me. I really really liked sports. Still do, but now I sleep with my wife instead of balls and just play with balls when I am awake.
Apparently, I had a blanket too.
Had a soft yellow blanket and my stuffed dog named, Boomer.
I miss that dog.
-Joel
A cabbage patch that was named Johnny that I stole from my older brother when I was afraid of a thunder storm one night. Johnny still lives at my moms house and had to have all of his legs and arms sewed on at different times because I would drag him around by them. He was grease stained BC my grandma owned a gas station where I would drag him through the garage bays. I also had a pink blankie with silky border on it.
Good memories…
a stuffed build a bear monkey named christian complete with his custom made dinosaur pajamas. yes, i’m 21 and yes, i still sleep with him.
Lol, i worked at Build-A-Bear. You don’t want to know how many I have. They are addicting
I had the yellow girl glo-worm with pink wings from the cartoon GloFriends. It was the kind of doll that had a hard head with a light bulb in it, and when you squeezed her body, it would light up. It used to wake me up, so we had to take the bulb out! That thing was under my arm from the age of 2 until I left for college.
I remember those!
Mickey. Still have him.
I had a blankie and a gumby doll for a while.
My daughter takes sleeping with a comfort doll to a whole new level. She has a blankie and Elmo that are must haves every night but she likes to sleep with three or four stuffed animals – pooh, tigger, mickey, piglet, a puppy, a penguin, a stingray – any combination or all if I’d let her.
A cloth diaper (clean one) that I called Bapoo.
I slept with a stuffed dog named Frodo from the time I was 12 until I was…well, when I got married at 27. I have issues
I had a huge Pumba from the Lion King that I would sleep with. He was pretty big so it was a pain at times but I could hide things under his tongue because it velcroed (not sure if that’s a word) to the bottom of his mouth.
I had a baby doll I slept with. I remember when I had worn out my first one my mom took me to Toys R Us to get a new one and we were there for at least an hour because I had to find the perfect one. You see, I wanted one with a plastic face, so it would be cold when I put it against mine. So I sat there and put every baby doll to my face until I found the perfect one. haha!
I always have needed a sheet at the foot of my bed that I play with kind of like a cat I hear. I grab it with my toes and twist it all around. I still prefer to have that when I go to sleep. We call it my footy sheet. Yes, I am weird, but my wife puts up with me.
not an animal, but a black and checkered blanky that had holes in it, so I called it my “holy” blanket…
When I was really little, I had Sailor Bear. Then when I was a little older, I made/sewed my own cat named Miss Purrdy, who looked more like a green alien with a big head than a cat!
Casey, my stuffed monkey. Parents bought when they were in Disney World for me when I was 8 years old. I slept with him every single night. If he was missing? we found him…no sleep until we did. I still have Casey and occasionally he still comes to bed
I actually didn’t start sleeping with a stuffed animal until I was in second grade. Then I slept with Mr. Bear until I got married. And now I sleep with my hubby!
My little brother’s was the best, though. He had a hot pink toucan named “Puffy”.
Snoopy. I puked on him once – he never looked the same.
I still sleep with my Strawberry Shortcake blanket EVERY NIGHT! It’s not a little one either, it’s about the size of a queen bed. I’m almost 29….
Definitely my teddy bear Teddy; original I know
haha. He still is by my bed to this day!
I gradually added things over the years to my bed. My “Ziggy” blanket that my aunt made for me was the 1st since it was my baby blanket. Then once I was older I added a brown teddy bear who I named Daniel (my childhood crush, ha!) that I received from my grandmother. Then I added a shirt of my daddy’s after he passed away. Daniel & my daddy’s shirt still are next to me every night and I’m 28…no shame at all
Makes me feel close to my grandmother and daddy.
For me, it was a stuffed Yogi Bear (am i dating myself with that?). Yogi went everywhere with me when I was very young. Everywhere. Then we got our first puppy. The puppy at Yogi’s face…off. Tears flowed; I was devastated. That was the end of sleeping buddies for me, I never recovered. I loved the puppy anyway.
I sleep with my husband, but in between us is a 1 year old. To be honest I have no idea if I slept with something when I was younger.
I can tell you that my kids sleep with animals we stuffed for them at Build A Buddy
A stuffed Wishbone dog, from the tv series that taught about literature.
A pink bear my Granddaddy gave me when I was born. And eventually added another teddybear named DJ to that. And I’m 30 and still sleep with DJ in my arms sometimes. Is that weird? Luckily for me, my fiance still sees me as normal. And more luckily, I’m OK with it too.
Sweet, Los.
Oh, McCall’s reply above reminded me how I carried this blanket EVERYWHERE with me. It was silky, and I rubbed the silky right off until my Mom actually had to recover the whole thing with red satin. Until I was about 10 and it just vanished. I actually wish I still had it.
I have the memory, though.
Hugs to you all!
If you remember the “My Pet Monster” line of stuffed animals, my favorite was a small purple monster named “Rark” who was scarier than anything that could come attack me.
My 20-month old son has a stuffed penguin he’s named “Pep-kwah” because he can’t pronounce the word “penguin.”
Oh don’t get me started, I had Barney, Baby-Bop. Simba, Mufasa, Bubba, Snuggles, and thats just the ones I remember right off the top off my head. I’m 20 and in college now but Simba still goes on vacation and anywhere I might be sleeping. The rest are either in my room at home or in a box in the attack. Wow.
