Heather
I go through phases where I put my camera down for too long.
So while H and I were in San Clemente after Catalyst West I pulled out my D7000 and snapped away.
I’ve been using it primarily for videos lately so it was fun to just click some.
My post process has got to speed up.
It took me WAY too long to edit these. I have to find some shortcuts.
What’s your post process on your images?
Oh. And seriously. How did I score that?
Los

She’s beautiful
I create actions when I find myself stuck on a particular look for several photos/shoots. It’s quicker to apply my action and tweak from there.
I also create actions for certain looks and just auto-apply… but the really quick and easy time saver is iPhoto’s Enhance.
Just import the pic, click Edit, then click Enhance. You can click again to enhance more, and also apply filters (My fav is Color Boost).
Not the best, but by far the quickest I’ve found.
If you’re bringing them directly into Photoshop using Bridge or something, it can take time to the edits. If you can, get a copy of Adobe Lightroom or Aperture 3. Those two allow you to make basic changes to exposure, contrast, etc.
Lightroom allows you to sync settings so if you have 10 images that were made under the same lighting conditions, you can do adjustments on one of them and sync those adjustments to the other nine. Then you can fine tune in PS.
Good shots. Last one is my favorite. I like the composition and the smile she has.
I think God blesses dudes in an amazing way. The vast majority of us marry up.
i don’t have any photog advice, just wanted to say that your wife is such a hottie. love her.
What is the tattoo on her wrist? It looks like maybe your signature?
she looks like someone that would be fun to know.
My photography blog is at http://photogbrenna.com. My posting strategy for photos is really terrible. I’ve been trying to create the ones I like in many different resolutions for people to use as desktop backgrounds. But I’m not so sure how worth it that is… it takes hours. :/
Lightroom, dude. Batch editing by syncing settings is the way to go. Great work though…had no idea you were a decent photog too
+1 (on lightroom); I knew you were a decent photog.
DID I SPOT A NEW TAT??????? Is that your autograph on your wifes wrist???? My tattoo buddy got a new one without me.
I like it!
no advice at all. but i do believe your subject is what makes these pictures so great.
Best post production advice… Get it right in camera then tweak and export in Lightroom.
Cheers,
Zack
+2 (simply because he’s Zack…not that he knows anything)
Agreed, less is more.
Your wife’s pictures are so good. Love to read her blog. You guys have a beautiful family and make a beautiful couple.
For real; i love your tattoo ideas
What a Blessed man you are–to have such a beautiful wife and family !
Los,
I got nothing on the photos bro. I basically take pictures on my phone, upload to facebook, and hope for the best.
As far as H…
Not to be a hater or perv on your lovely wife, but you waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay outpunted your coverage my man. Yeah you are a worship phenom, social media guru, and tv star…but are also a big dork too lol.
Seriously man, I am constantly inspired by the love that you two have. I was married 10 yrs and divorced a year and a half ago. I have met a wonderful, Christian woman and I’m always going “look at what ‘Los posted”. You two are doing it and doing it well (cue the LL Cool J remix). Keep evolving and we’ll keep trying to figure out “how you pulled that”.
SK
Duuuude…. You’re wife is SUPER HOT. Like Halle Berry – Eva Longoria hot (ok, probably hotter – cuz she’s real) but I’m sure you already know this… It’s sweet that you make it clear that you appreciate her so much
haha i cheat on photo edits with Photoscape..
I’m allowed to say this cuz I’m a girl:
You’re wife is super hot…. Well done.
I love the reminder on the bench at the beach that event he waves obey his voice.
I use lightroom and love it! Love your post processing.
I’m pretty sure that you have the most photogenic family ever.
“wow! That’s his wife?” my husbands response to these pics
I process immediately or I feel like they lose relevance. I know, I’m shallow but I have to post right after taking them or I don’t post at all.
Oh and I have friends I Nashville, Murfreesboro actually. Best of luck there in music city
OK. I’ll be the odd man out. I use Aperture and like it a lot!
That plus some NIK plugins and I can get what I want pretty quickly. Find the looks you like and make presets out of em so you can reproduce quickly.
Your wife is beeeeaUUUUtiful!!!!!!!!
gorgeous. bomb. awesomesauce. daaaaaang!!
Los,
OK I gotta know…what does the tat on heathers wrist say?
It’s my signature
Adobe Lightroom then use the presets.
ACTIONS ALL THE WAY! create your own actions and then batch edit the files.
