Los

BOOM!
Just want say I think this is awesome, over the last year I have lost 61 (255-194) lbs and am still going strong. So I want to encourage you guys let you know that it this thing is totally possible outside of the Biggest Loser. Will be praying for all of you, anyway else I can help let me know!!!
I have used FitDay, but I am also a huge fan of MyFitnessPal (seemed to have better track of foods)
12 weeks…..let’s say 235. And I’m with Molly on the MyFitnessPal….also using Endomondo to track running
LOVE this! You guys are hilarious! My main goal it to track everything I eat – have used calorie king in the past but now have Myfitnesspal on my phone so I am going to try that. Another goal is to do some form of exercise at LEAST 3 times a week – if there are any NASHVILLE ladies – especially ones that go to the Bellevue Y and want to meet up let me know! @korimeyers
I will weigh in tomorrow morning but I am pretty sure I will aim to loose 20 lbs over these 12 weeks – will still have many more to go after that but it will be a good start! Also going to try to get my hubby to get on board – he’s been looking for inspiration, too!
Can I make a confession? I’m SO nervous!! I just want to see this through, but I freak out and give up really easily when it comes to weight loss. I just want to make the SexyBack11 team proud this time.
My hubby and I are in- he isn’t on social media so I’ll post for the both of us
I’m so in! I’ve been working on it for the past few months but I’ve been feeling an extremely lack of motivation lately and am so down for a little Ragamuffin encouragement! Anyone in the Seattle/Seattle Eastside down to make this happen together?
Definitely forgot the goal… Going for 25lbs down in 12 weeks!
As a now certified trainer I’m definitely excited to see people takin steps in the right direction to changing their bad habits and moving into the realm of health gain.
My biggest advice for the community is to pursue health gain and not just weight loss. Ultimately to live a healthy long life takes a few hard lifestyle adjustments, which then become easy choices, which then become habits, which then become lifestyle.
I’m one of those who is intrigued by nutrition and it’s role in health gain and weight management and Lord willin I’ll be pursuing a degree in chemistry and biology in the next few years to better equip myself to help others understand what happens when we eat certain foods.
So, keep it up! Work hard. Know that the old adage about what you eat being about 80-85% occurs equation and exercise being about 15-20% of the equation is true.
Eat real food! Choose optimal foods like pastured meats and wild caught fish, local vegetables, a little bit of good starch like sweet potatoes an yams, some nuts an seeds, and a little fruit. Stay away from boxed, packaged foods and try to eat good fats and proteins that satiate you. Keep your flours, sugars, and processed foods to a minimum (avoi if possible)…and you’ll see amazing changes happen in your body that you wouldn’t believe!
God speed everyone!
Didn’t realize how poor my grammar and spelling in this comment were! Thanks, iphone!
add me to the list bro! goal – 20 lbs. in 12 weeks. Glad to have the ragamuffins to keep me accountable. Boom!
I’ll adjust my weigh-in posts to show up on Thursdays. I’m at mrsraushel.blogspot.com. I’ve been with Weight Watchers since September. 20 pounds down so far–had to switch to maintenance just before my wedding so my dress wouldn’t fall off!
Back on track starting this week! Excited to journey through the #sexyback11 challenge with all of you!
In at 160 and I’m a sexy fatty.
Lol, there was supposed to be more, before my early submit. But now that I think about it, that about covers it. Excited to share my weight with the world!
I’m aiming for 175.
Shoot me now, but I’m not after weightloss so much as I’m trying to make healthy choices consistently… so that my battle (I love sugar and bacon) won’t be such a challenge for my kids. Plus, since I do all of the cooking it will directly impact my family. I spend a lot of time hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains and I want to be able to demolish a trail like in the good ole days. I wanna be able to run a 5k competitively. I want to have enough good choices under my belt at the end of the day that I don’t feel guilty consuming a super rich craft beer (notice I said “a” beer not a “case”).
Healthy choices are a lot like stepping out in faith. We just gotta start walking, no one is going to do it for us. I started a while back with a Daniel fast. My husband said that the first the days the devil came out of me, and I believe it! After that, it wasn’t so bad. When we consume sugar or salt, our bodies crave more of that. Whatever you do, the first few days will be the hardest. But know that your body will do what it was made to do if you just give it a chance.
And, EAT BREAKFAST for crying out loud. And not a poptart. How ’bout this… eat breakfast WITH YOUR FAMILY. If that’s not possible, eat breakfast with the Big Guy. Talk to him. Out loud. Tell him your goals. I dare you.
I’m with you, Rebecca. I DO want to lose weight, but my goal is not a number is pounds as much as it is the number of habits I change which will result in weight loss.
thirty days…my goal is 200 pounds. i’ll take a pic tomorrow.
wait, i didn’t realize it was 12 weeks lol. i want to be a solid 190 by that time. i’ll be using the beachbody programs and doing taekwondo.
I use some Beachbody programs here and there as well. Which ones do you use?
Can we call this the raga-anti-muffin-top?
@beccatatum
LOVE IT! Hee hee.
15lb lighter in 12 weeks would be awesome for me
i’m using Weight Watchers Online, and I’m already about 1.5 weeks in. at my 2nd weigh-in, i’d lost 0.8lbs. i’m not outside of my “healthy weight” requirements for my height/age, but i am teetering on the edge! so 15lbs off would put me right in the middle of the range, and make me feel a lot more confident about my body.
everyone was right, your body DOES change a lot when you hit age 30!
I started this on Monday and weighed in at a gross 236. My goal, if I have to pick one, would be to get to about 200. And maybe lose about 10% body fat. That’s extreme, I think, but I’m willing to work for it.
I’m happy to not be on this journey alone anymore. Looking forward to this my friends.
I’ll just say this. I can’t believe I posted a picture of my scale. Holy Lord.
Oh, and I want to lose 30 pounds.
So I’ve had too many opinions today. I’m not bringing sexy back because I’m not wearing make-up and have not brushed my hair – but I did a webisode about how to include your kids in this, too. Multi-generation impact!

Such a great idea! I’ve been slacking on the exercise front… time to get working again! That and blogging regularly… so the two can go hand in hand!
Renaidg this makes my decisions easier than taking candy from a baby.

Totally in.. this couldnt come at a better time either.. i just joined the gym 4 days ago… and then you guys start this!! YAY for GOD because he knew i would need the motivation to stay on track!! My goal is to lose 50lbs… my real motivation is losing my husband 2 years ago due to a massive heart attack.. he was overweight & not healthy.. & i dont want the same thing to happen to me.. its time for me to get back on track.. and what better way to do this than with community!! thanks LOS & Grant for starting this!! looking forward to seeing where this journey takes us all!!
I’m right with los on this one, starting at 205 and hopefully getting to 175 by labor day!
135 trying to get to the mid 120′s
Mostly more about confidence and how I feel physically than weight specifically
I have been doing Weight Watcher’s since mid-January and have lost 41 lbs. However, these past few weeks I have been struggling with it. I have been praying for God to help me get back on track and I think he sent his challenge to help me mix things up a bit and get back on track!
My goal is to lose 20 lbs by Labor Day and to exercise consistently!
For me the goal is better habits that will result in weight loss. Hopefully, I’ll create habits that stick and drop about 25 lbs.
Hey guys and gals,
What Carlos is doing here is great! On May 23rd I started the 17 day diet. Admittedly I’m not one for fad diets and stuff like that, but since then I’ve lost 16 lbs. It’s tough at first but it really is a great system and works…fast! It’s also very safe and very nutritious, and it makes sense once you read through the material.
I’m not sure what you guys are doing to lose weight but I would like to encourage you all to stay the course. It’s tough making lifestyle changes and giving up a lot of things we would find comfort in, but believe me it’s worth it. I haven’t been this size in 10 years and I haven’t felt this good since I was in high school. So bring it back with a purpose. BOOM!
Went from 200 – 185 a few months ago. Want to cut to 175, then bulk back 185.
I don’t have a scale, so my measurement will be to fit into these pants not so snuggly.
So my #sexyback11 goal is to get rid of my girlie hips. I can’t get rid of my girlie name, but dangit, I’m going to do something about that muffin top!
I’m 6’2″, and weighed in this morning @ 195.9lbs
I’m with Grant here. Not so much worried about a number of pounds but habit change. I figure the lbs will fade with habit changes. So in that spirit, I’m not posting a goal weight (but my current weight is right at 290) but an exercise goal instead. 12 weeks from now, I want to be able to run a 5k. LET’S DO THIS!
I a few days behind but I needed some help getting my tools together (translation: I finally convinced my husband to hook our Wii back up). And now I’m ready to set my goals.
I have a short-term goal to lose 12 lbs before my sister’s wedding (July 9,2011) so I can fit back into the bridesmaid dress she picked out (I was good and fit when I bought it, then let it slip, now, well…).
But for the 12 week goal (once I get past the wedding), is to maintain and get fit (not just skinnier). We might be planning to have a baby soon, so I want my body as healthy as possible (vitamins, exercise, good sleep).
My tools: I have a Wii Fit (that told me I weighed 137 with clothes on) and I have Just Dance 2. Also, have a swimming pool, so hopefully the variety and entertainment factor of these tools will work to my advantage.
And my first step, starting Sunday, June 19: Only drink water!
I’m a couple of days behind on this but just wanted to say that I think this is awesome! Like some of the others have said, my goal through this isn’t necessarily weight loss but making some healthy habits. So, my plan is to exercise a half hour a day, 5 days a week (right now I’m using the Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred DVD) and I’m hoping by Labor Day I’ll be down to a size 12 (from my current 16).
Best of luck everyone!
I CAVED!!!!!!!!!!
I ate several cookies, and had chocolate milk!!!!!!
but………
i took the stairs that counts!!!!!!! right?????????
My goal is to get rid of the “baby fat” I have left from my pregnancies.
I weigh 117 lbs. I would like to be between 104-110
It is SO surreal seeing y’all in the same place (u n Grant) – but SOOO cool! Yay tweeps!
how do i get on this? i mean i wanna join this.
My goal is 165 #StayingPositive
